Steelers QB Russell Wilson 173.5 Passing Yards — More
This pick might not seem appealing when first taking a glance due to the Steelers’ offense being stagnant under QB Justin Fields’ reign. Although the offense scored 32 points in last week's win against the Raiders, coach Mike Tomlin hopes this switch at quarterback will provide new life to a team that has often struggled.
Look for offensive coordinator Arthur Smith to get the ball out of Russell’s hands quickly using shorter passes. Last year, Wilson had the fourth-highest adjusted completion percentage at 78.8% in Denver. Now that Wilson is fully healthy, the passing game should take a step in the right direction.
He has cashed this projection in six of his last seven games and I look for that to continue to be the case in this game on his new team.
Jets WR Davante Adams 5 Receptions — More
The star wide receiver has been in the headlines for the last few weeks as he awaited a trade from the Raiders. On Tuesday, he was finally sent to the New York Jets. Jets QB Aaron Rodgers got his long-time friend and teammate back after the Jets lost against the Bills on Monday Night Football, after a game-ending miscommunication with WR Mike Williams.
There were some concerns with Davante Adams’ hamstring injury however, since being traded, it’s magically disappeared. He has not shown any signs of long-term injury and he has been a full participant in the Jets’ practices. Reportedly, he will be a full go in this game with no limitations.
The Steelers know that Adams is most likely taking over the top spot in that receiving core, so look for Rodgers to target him early and often in this matchup.

TD Scorer Pick: Steelers WR George Pickens — 0.5 Rush+Rec TDs (Demon)
Steelers WR Georgia Pickens has yet to score a touchdown this season, just another byproduct of the passing game practically being nonexistent with Fields at the helm in Smith’s offense. The playbook should expand with Wilson at the head of the offense, and his willingness to throw the deep ball should allow more opportunities for Pickens to get in the end-zone.
Jets CB Sauce Gardner has only two passes defended this year, as many quarterbacks have thrown away from him. This will be an interesting matchup to see how Wilson and Pickens might attack Gardner to get into the end zone.
Note: Demon picks add a payout boost to your lineup on PrizePicks, as they are more difficult projections to hit.
Game Prediction: Jets 24, Steelers 20
Although the Steelers made a change at quarterback, adding Wilson into the starting offense, I do not believe that will be enough to overcome a star-filled Jets offense.
Both defenses have proven to be good units but a combination of WRs Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson, and a rushing attack by Breece Hall make me think that the Steelers defense will give up a few touchdowns that decide this game.
Wilson will need to prove he is fully healthy and capable of running this offense if they want a chance to win. If they cannot expand the playbook with Wilson like they originally thought then it might be a long night for the Steelers.
