The NFL offseason is about to heat up. Monday, March 9, is the beginning of the NFL’s legal negotiating window, with NFL free agency kicking off on March 11 at 4:00 p.m. ET, with the start of the new league year.

Several star players could be available on the trade market, too, and Raiders DE Maxx Crosby finds himself in heavy trade rumors after a souring of the relationship with the franchise at the end of the 2025 season.

If the Las Vegas Raiders opted to move the superstar edge rusher as expected, where could Crosby land? Here are the latest Maxx Crosby trade rumors and the favorites to be Crosby's next team, including the Cowboys and Bears, via NFL futures on PrizePicks Team Picks.

Chicago Bears – Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors

PrizePicks Team Picks tab the Chicago Bears as the favorite to trade for Crosby, even above staying with the Raiders.

On Monday, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported, “I’d lean toward a Maxx Crosby trade happening, and maybe this week.”

The senior reporter went on to discuss Crosby’s likely desire to win. With that said, potential playoff teams make up his most likely suitors.

The Bears appeared in the Divisional Round of the playoffs last season, and PrizePicks Team Picks gives Chicago a 1.78x payout to make the playoffs in the 2026 season — higher than 50% implied probability.

Furthermore, the Bears could use some edge-rushing help, as they finished 23rd in sack rate last season. Pro Football Focus ranked Chicago 25th in pass rush grade, and ESPN had the unit 31st in pass rush win rate.

Alongside Bears DE Montez Sweat’s 10.0-sack 2025 season, Crosby would be a welcome addition to the clubhouse.

Dallas Cowboys – Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors

Rumors have emerged marking the Dallas Cowboys another suitor for Crosby this week after the combine, which has shifted the market around his next team on PrizePicks.

The Cowboys have reportedly offered two first-round picks for the star DE.

The Cowboys have two first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft— No. 12 and No. 20 — after the Micah Parsons trade before the 2025 season, giving them firepower to land Crosby.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been active recently on the trade market, moving to get breakout WR George Pickens and shipping away Parsons — the team's star pass-rusher — last season, as contract extension talks broke down.

Whether it was Parsons or other factors, the Cowboys defense was the laughing stock of the NFL in 2026. The Cowboys ranked dead last in EPA per play, per Sumer Sports, and surrendered a league-worst 251.1 pass yards per game.

That said, PFF graded the Cowboys' pass rush as 13th in the NFL, so it may take a lot more than just Crosby to revitalize this defense, even with the impact he can make on every play.

San Francisco 49ers – Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors

The San Francisco 49ers also had their fair share of pass-rushing issues in 2025, finishing last in sack rate. 27th in PFF’s pass rush grade, and 29th in pass rush win rate.

Much of this was due to 49ers DE Nick Bosa tearing his ACL in Week 3 of the 2025 campaign. Still, adding another premier pass rush should remedy the situation, as Crosby has totaled 10.5 sacks per season since 2021. Bosa, meanwhile, recorded 15.5, 18.5, 10.5, and 9.0 sacks from 2021 through 2024.

This potential move could be a salary hurdle, as seen by the payouts, as Bosa is due to net roughly $22.7 million in 2026 and $32.7 million in 2027, per Spotrac. Crosby is due $30.0 million in 2026, followed by $29.0 million in 2027.

Philadelphia Eagles

General manager Howie Roseman is as active as it gets on the trade market. Could the Philadelphia Eagles’ executive vice president pull off another bargain deal?

The defensive line does not have a massive hole in its pass rush, as Eagles DT Jalen Carter will be on the 2026 roster. Perhaps Philly would not offer the same urgency to land a deal like the Bears and 49ers.

In the 2025 season, Philadelphia ranks 14th in sack rate, sixth in PFF’s pass rush grade, and 20th in pass rush win rate. Eagles EDGE Jaelan Phillips was a major acquisition at the 2025 trade deadline, but he’s due to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Landing Crosby could be a direct replacement for Phillips, and Philadelphia should meet the five-time Pro Bowler’s desire to win with a 1.29x payout to earn a 2026 playoff berth, per PrizePicks Team Picks.
