Are Seahawks Playing Starters vs. Chiefs Tonight?
Yes, Seahawks plan to play their starters vs. the Chiefs for an unknown amount of time in NFL Preseason Week 2. "A couple of guys" won't play, per coach Mike Macdonald, but most starters will play. Sam Darnold is expected to start at QB in this game, though he isn't expected to play for long, as he's projected for 48.5 pass yards on PrizePicks NFL preseason DFS.
Are Chiefs Playing Starters vs. Seahawks Tonight?
The Chiefs are likely to rest their starters vs. the Seahawks tonight, including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, according to head coach Any Reid. Gardner Minshew is expected to start at QB vs. the Seahawks.
Minshew is projected for 64.5 passing yards on PrizePicks NFL preseason DFS.

Seahawks WR Tory Horton – 24.5 Receiving Yards

Tory Horton — the Seahawks' fifth-round rookie breakout — is expected to play multiple series against the Chiefs tonight, giving him another opportunity to stretch the field and carve out a role on the offense.
Horton is expected to get playing time with the starters tonight, including Darnold, as he's been playing snaps with the first team in camp and looks to have an inside edge on a starting role.
With QBs Drew Lock and rookie Jalen Milroe expected to handle a hefty percentage of the snaps Friday night when Darnold leaves, Horton will catch balls from a pair of QBs coming off a successful Week 1. Horton led the Seahawks pass catchers in last week's tie against the Raiders, hauling in 3-of-7 targets for 31 yards and a touchdown.
The red-zone awareness from the rookie was on full display, giving head coach Mike Macdonald plenty of reason to involve him in first-team reps at this week’s practice.
We may see Horton see a similar number of targets against the Chiefs, who will be relying on backups in coverage — a plus for the Darnold to Horton connection. The Chiefs' defense allowed 215 passing yards last week against Cardinals’ QBs Kyler Murray, Jacoby Brissett and Clayton Tune.
That said, Macdonald mentioned the plan for Friday will see most of the Seahawks starters getting meaningful snaps, meaning we could enjoy a small dose of Darnold and WRs Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp.
Smith-Njigba is projected foir 15.5 receiving yards tonight, though his playing time is uncertain.
Horton could also get some special teams reps, particularly at punt returner.
Seahawks QB Sam Darnold – 48.5 Pass Yards

It's hard to make heads or tails of what to expect from Darnold's exhibition debut in Seattle, as Macdonald has been vague about how long the starters will play. As this is his first head coaching role, there's no data to get an idea of how long he could stay in.
Like most starters in preseason though, we should expect Darnold to play a few drives — possibly dependent on how many snaps he's getting with his new team.
Fortunately, as the Chiefs should rest several starters, we could see Darnold get his first plays in a Seahawks jersey against a second-string defense.
However, Darnold is a $100+ million man now. The Seahawks will want to protect him until we get to real game action.
