2024 MLB Playoffs Bracket
The MLB Playoffs is a 12-team, single elimination bracket. The Wild Card Series is a best-of-three series, and the Divisional Series is a best-of-five series. That leads us to the Championship Series and the World Series, each of which are best-of-seven series to determine the champion.
Four teams in both the American and National League will compete for the spots in the Divisional Series in the three-game Wild Card Series.
In the American League, the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians have already clinched Divisional Series spots, while the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers have already clinched Divisional spots in the National League.

2024 MLB Playoffs Schedule and Matchups
The 2024 MLB Playoffs begin as a best-of-three series in the Wild Card Series, where the higher seeds will host all games in the series.
After the first round, teams will compete in a five game Divisional Series and a seven-game series in the Championship Series and the World Series.

Games 1 and 2 will be played on October 1 and 2 at the higher-seeded team’s stadium. Game 3 for all Wild Card Series are only if necessary, also at the higher-seeded team's stadium.

The first and second seeds for both leagues have earned a bye and will face an opponent in the Divisional Series. After the Wild Card Series, the bracket will play as follows:

2024 MLB Playoffs Dates
The Divisional Series are scheduled to play between Saturday, Oct. 5 and Saturday, Oct. 12. The Championship Series are scheduled to play between Sunday, Oct. 13 and could end as late as Tuesday, Oct. 22, depending on how many games are required.
