Colorado vs. Nebraska: Time, TV, Location
Date: Saturday, September 7, 2024
Time: 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff
Location: Memorial Stadium, Lincoln, Neb.
TV: NBC/Peacock
When Colorado and Nebraska faced each other in 2023, the game wasn’t close. The Buffaloes dominated the game, winning 36-14, further elevating their early season hype.
The attention around Coach Prime and his team is different in 2024, as they struggled in conference play last year. Still, with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, the Buffaloes are always exciting to watch.
Nebraska could be a different opponent from last year, as the Cornhuskers defense has improved, and they brought in top recruit Dylan Raiola as their quarterback.
Colorado vs. Nebraska: CFB DFS Picks for PrizePicks
Nebraska WR Isaiah Neyor: 57.5 Receiving Yards – More

Isaiah Neyor will be a receiver to keep your eye on for the Cornhuskers this season. He’s been off the radar for a couple of years; after a fantastic 2021 season at Wyoming, where he caught 11 touchdowns, he hit the transfer portal and went to Texas. The stint with the Longhorns wasn’t memorable; he suffered a torn ACL in 2022, missing the whole year. Then, in 2023, he failed to get any time in the rotation and took just eight snaps.
I think the Cornhuskers will switch around Neyor and Jahmal Banks to give Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter different looks, and Neyor’s speed and footwork can help him gain separation and find the end zone.
Neyor played every pass snap in last week’s 40-7 win, hauling in six passes for 121 yards and a touchdown, flashing his connection with Raiola. And it looks like most expect him to follow that up strong: the More on this projection is one of the most popular picks on PrizePicks for CFB DFS Week 2.
Colorado WR Travis Hunter: 87.5 Receiving Yards – Less

Travis Hunter is one of the best overall players in the country, and if he plays up to his caliber, he could contend for the Heisman and go No. 1 overall in the draft.
Last year, Nebraska made sure he didn’t beat them, and three catches for 73 yards would suggest they did that. They will look to put clamps on Hunter again, so don’t look for a big game from Hunter, despite his massive stat line last week.

Goblin Pick: Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders: 249.5 Passing Yards – More

It was against North Dakota State, an FCS program, but Sanders showed off in Colorado’s first game of the 2024 season. We can give him some credit; this wasn’t an ordinary FCS program. North Dakota State has won an astounding nine FCS Championships since 2011.
Now he gets an FBS opponent and a familiar one. They squared off almost a year to the day, and Sanders led the charge with 393 passing yards and two touchdowns in that win.
This massive performance should not reflect the identity of the Cornhuskers’ defense for this season. It was just the second game in Matt Rhule’s tenure, and as the season progressed, they significantly improved on defense. They finished the season allowing only 18.3 points per game.
I like this pick as the Goblin play because I think Sanders gets over this threshold, but he’ll need to play from behind if he’s going to reach his main projection (315.5 passing yards).
Demon Pick: Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola: 274.5 Passing Yards – More

The Cornhuskers made a massive pickup by recruiting Raiola to be their starting QB. He was among the most sought-after quarterbacks in the 2024 recruiting cycle, ranked as the second-best quarterback by 247 Sports, and had offers from Georgia, Texas, USC, and Ohio State.
A traditional pocket passer, at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, he already looks the part of a professional quarterback and also possesses the elite arm talent that could make him a future first-round pick.
Just look at the 59-yard passing touchdown to Neyor against UTEP and you’ll want to watch it twice.
Colorado revamped its defense with a collection of talent coming from the transfer portal, but this defense allowed 292 passing yards last week against NDSU. It’s likely that Raiola will have his coming-out party on Saturday night on a huge stage.
