The 2025 ESPYs — the greatest awards show in sports — will go down tonight on ESPN tonight, Wednesday, July 16, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streaming on ESPN+. The awards show will be hosted by comedian and actor Shane Gillis, live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

At the annual ESPYs, the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage is also given out, alongside the year's top performers. This year, Oscar Robertson will receive the 2025 Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. Robertson is seen as one of the greatest point guards in NBA history, as a 12-time All-Star and 1964 Finals champion.
He will be honored for his fight to establish free agency in the NBA. Robertson was the president of the NBA Players Association from 1965 to 1974, and ushered in the creation of free agency in NBA—something that owners threatened and dismissed for years before.
