In Thursday's second women's Wimbledon semifinal, Marta Kostyuk faces Linda Noskova, with both players coming into the match with previous limited success at Wimbledon.
Kostyuk has been on fire since the start of the clay season, and this is now her second straight major semifinal. Meanwhile, Noskova bounced back from a first-round loss at the French Open to go 10-1 on grass courts entering this match.
The Kotyuk vs. Noskova winner will reach their first-ever Grand Slam final.
Below, we’ll break down our Marta Kostyuk vs. Linda Noskova prediction, including recent form, match analysis, and a PrizePicks pick for the 2026 Wimbledon semifinal.
The match is slated to start at approximately 9:40 a.m. ET, following the conclusion of the Karolina Muchova vs. Coco Gauff match. Thursday’s Wimbledon coverage is on ESPN and the ESPN App.

Despite coming off an absurd run on clay where her only loss was in the French Open against eventual champion Mirra Andreeva, Marta Kostyuk entered Wimbledon with little in the way of expectations.
After all, Kostyuk had a losing career record on grass, had never advanced past the third round at Wimbledon, and didn’t play a single warm-up grass event before arriving here.
And yet, with a little encouragement from her coach, the 24-year-old has achieved by far her best Wimbledon result and is now into back-to-back major semifinals. Kosyuk is now 21-1 dating back to the start of the clay season in April.
Kostyuk is fresh off a dominant quarterfinal performance against Jasmine Paolini, defeating the Italian 6-3, 6-2.
WTA No. 12 Linda Noskova probably wasn't on many people's radar entering Wimbledon, either, as her previous best result at the All England Club was a fourth-round appearance, and her only prior major quarterfinal came at the 2024 Australian Open.
However, Noskova arrived at Wimbledon with a solid 17-10 career tour-level record on grass, and she added another boost of confidence in June by defeating Jessica Pegula to win the Berlin Open.
The Czech player has defeated three straight seeded players — Elise Mertens, Madison Keys, and Sorana Cirstea — to reach this stage.
Both players have dropped only two sets apiece during this tournament and have advanced in straight sets over the last two rounds.
They’ve also performed similarly on serve, as Kostyuk is winning 77% of her first-serve points and 57% of her second-serve points, compared to 74% and 56%, respectively, for Noskova.
However, Kostyuk has won more return games (23 to 16) than Noskova and has been the better returner this season. Among the top 50 players, Kostyuk ranks first in return points won (48.7%) this year, whereas Noskova ranks 45th (41.5%).
While the Ukrainian’s track record on grass should give us pause, Kostyuk seems to have found a new appreciation for a surface that once gave her fits, and she’s in the midst of the best stretch of tennis in her career.
