Coco Gauff of the United States returns the ball during the women's singles quarter-final match against Jessica Pegula of the United States at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London, Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Karolina Muchova and Coco Gauff are into the Wimbledon semifinals for the first time in what should be a fantastic match on Thursday morning.

Although Gauff leads the head-to-head series by a wide margin, Muchova won their most recent match, and they've never faced each other on grass.

Who will advance to their first Wimbledon women's final?

Below, we’ll break down our Karolina Muchova vs. Coco Gauff prediction, including recent form, match analysis, and a PrizePicks pick for the 2026 Wimbledon semifinal.

Per the match winner payouts, Karolina Muchova is the ever-so-slight favorite, but this is essentially a pick ‘em between her and Coco Gauff.

Muchova was impressive in the quarterfinals, knocking out an in-form Naomi Osaka, who was coming off a dominant win over Aryna Sabalenka and hadn’t lost a set over the previous four rounds.

The Czech player is now 10-1 on grass this season. While Muchova inexplicably came into this Wimbledon with four straight first-round exits, this marks her third time advancing to at least the Wimbledon quarterfinals.

Prior to this run, Gauff had never been to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, let alone the semis. In fact, she came into the tourney without a single win on grass since 2024 Wimbledon.

Victories over world No. 4 Jessica Pegula and world No. 11 Belinda Bencic should give her confidence heading into this match, though.

What should also give Gauff a mental boost is a 6-1 head-to-head record against Muchova.

However, Muchova was the victor when they last met in April (Stuttgart), and she’s had a smoother ride to these semifinals.

Muchova has lost only one set through five matches, whereas Gauff has had to grind out four straight three-setters to make it here.

The American’s serve continues to be an adventure at times, too, as she’s logged 29 double faults compared to just eight for Muchova. The Czech player has also logged more aces (36) than Gauff (25).

Muchova has also won a higher percentage of both first-serve points (80% to 75%) and second-serve points (61% to 51%) than Gauff.

Overall, this should be a tight match, but Muchova’s recent form might give her the edge despite the lopsided head-to-head.

Muchova vs. Gauff — 22.5 Total Games

Gauff’s last four matches have reached a deciding set, totaling 31, 30, 29, and 28 games.

Muchova’s last two matches have come against multi-major winners like Gauff (Barbora Krejcikova and Osaka), and those meetings have gone 33 and 23 total games.

While Gauff has dominated their head-to-head, two of their three matches in 2026 have gone three sets, resulting in 25 and 30 total games.

Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings rank these two closely on grass, placing Muchova sixth and Gauff ninth. Fewer than 30 points separate them in those rankings.
