NFL Week 14 Preview and Schedule

Coming off an unexpectedly exciting OT Monday night game in Week 13, the 2023 NFL season rolls on. Moving into the new week, we’ll take you through our NFL Week 14 preview and top NFL DFS projections.

As yet another top quarterback gets injured in Week 13, this season is proving more and more that you never know what to expect. The playoff race in both conferences is still wide open following the Eagles’ and Jaguars’ losses.

Injuries across the league are getting worse by the week and top players and quarterbacks like Trevor Lawrence keep going down in crucial moments. Despite the tough injuries and losses, Week 14 has an incredible slate of games that should keep us entertained all the way through Monday night.

  • Lions @ Bears - 1:00PM

  • Eagles @ Cowboys - 8:20PM

Monday, December 11

  • Titans @ Dolphins - 8:15PM
  • Packers @ Giants - 8:15PM

Some of these games have serious playoff implications. Looking at the Bills/Chiefs game and Eagles/Cowboys, we’re gonna be glued to our TVs on Sunday afternoon and night. After the Eagles big loss to the 49ers last week, they still hold the top seed in the NFC but they face a tough divisional opponent in Dallas who’s hungry to redeem their close loss in Philly just a few weeks ago.

In the AFC, the Bills basically have to win out the rest of their games to stay in the playoff picture and that won’t be easy in Kansas City this week. With the QB injuries we mentioned earlier, it might be possible for the Bills to stay alive (barely) down the stretch.

NFL Week 14 DFS Projections

Pass Yards

Brock Purdy - QB, SF

From Mr. Irrelevant to the current favorite for NFL MVP. Brock Purdy was the final draft pick in 2022 NFL draft and didn’t have high expectations surrounding him. After a statement victory against the Eagles in Week 13, the narrative has changed.

This week, Purdy is projected to throw for 261.5, well below his average of 303 over the last 5 games. That’s because he’s facing a tough defense and a division rival with the Seahawks. Now that all his weapons are healthy again, Purdy should keep up the pace this week.

Jalen Hurts - QB, PHI

It was a brutal loss for the Eagles against the Niners last week, but Hurts still managed to throw for nearly 300 yards and a few TDs. this week won’t be any easier against their division rival, the Dallas Cowboys.

Hurts is projected to throw for 257.5, about 20 more than his average over the last 5 games. Playing in Dallas is never easy so he’ll really need something special to come out with a win on Sunday night.

Receiving Yards

Stefon Diggs - WR, BUF

It’s been a tough year in Buffalo for everyone. Allen seems to throw more picks every week and the Bills are barely hanging around in the playoff hunt. This week they take on the Super Bowl Champs, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Diggs is projected to go for 77.5 against the Chiefs. His average over the last 5 games is about 58 so he and Allen need to be on the same page against Kansas City to take care of business and stay alive.

Tyreek Hill - WR, MIA

Across the division in Miami, Tyreek is having a MONSTER year. With 4 weeks to go, Tyreek is still closing in on that 2,000 yard season he was aiming for.

The Dolphins face the Titans at home on Monday night and should have no trouble getting the job done. With a chance for a big win in primetime, Tyreek will definitely want to show out under the lights. He’s projected to go for 103.5 but don’t be shocked if he does something really special.

Rush Yards

Christian McCaffrey - RB, SF

It just wouldn’t be right to not include CMC on one of these previews. If his teammate, Brock Purdy wasn’t the favorite for MVP this year, CMC would definitely have a case for the top spot.

This week he faces Pete Carroll’s defense in Seattle and is projected to rush for 80.5, right around his average of 86 over the last 5 games.
