2026 Wimbledon Predictions, Tennis Picks – Wednesday, July 1 (Day 3)
Before we get into our top Wimbledon predictions for the early slate on Wednesday, here’s a quick look at the three matches we’re focusing on and the consensus favorites on PrizePicks Team Picks — where you can pick winners on every Wimbledon match.
Soonwoo Kwon vs. Tommy Paul — Second Round
- Kwon – 5.88x payout | Paul – 1.11x payout
Barbora Krejcikova vs. Mirra Andreeva — Second Round
- Krejcikova – 2.77x payout | Andreeva – 1.4x payout
Karolina Muchova vs. Shuai Zhang — Second Round
- Muchova – 1.12x payout | Zhang – 5.26x payout
On PrizePicks Team Picks, a 2x payout represents a return of $200 on a $100 entry (or $20 on $10). A lower payout multiplier signals a higher implied probability of that result based on user picks.
Payouts are live at the time of writing and are subject to change. Tennis winner markets are available in 35 states on PrizePicks.
Soonwoo Kwon vs. Tommy Paul Wimbledon Prediction — Wednesday, July 1
Match Winner Payouts: Kwon 5.88x | Paul 1.11x
Tournament Round: Second Round
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: Kwon 2-0 | Paul 30-12
Head-to-Head Record: Paul leads 1-0
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN App
Tommy Paul continued his excellent play on grass this season with a routine first-round victory over Alexandre Muller (6-1, 6-2, 6-1). The American dominated across the board, winning 85% of his first-serve points, 67% of his second-serve points, and 54% of his receiving points.
He also didn’t face a single break point. The match lasted just 1 hour and 13 minutes.
Paul was the runner-up at Queen’s Club this year and is now 5-1 on grass in 2026.
Soonwoo Kwon is a 28-year-old journeyman who made it into the main draw as a qualifier. While he also won his first-round match in straight sets against world No. 60 Martin Landaluce, this will be a big step up in competition against Paul.
Kwon has competed almost entirely in Challenger events this year, with his only tour-level matches coming in a pair of Davis Cup wins in February. He’s ranked 200th in the world and has never cracked the top 50.

Soonwoo Kwon vs. Tommy Paul Pick for Wimbledon on Wednesday
Kwon vs. Paul Pick – 3.5 Total Sets
Per Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings, Paul has a 212-point advantage over Kwon on grass. For context, a 200-point difference implies a 76% win probability in a best-of-three match, and the favorite is even more likely to win in a best-of-five format like Wimbledon.
Paul won the lone meeting between these two, defeating Kwon 6-3, 6-3 in 2022 (Atlanta).
Kwon is 3-22 versus top-20 opponents over his career. Paul entered Wimbledon as the world No. 25 and achieved a career-high ranking of No. 8 in 2025.

Barbora Krejcikova vs. Mirra Andreeva Wimbledon Prediction — Wednesday, July 1
Match Winner Payouts: Krejcikova 2.77x | Andreeva 1.4x
Tournament Round: Second Round
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: Krejcikova 12-7 | Andreeva 36-10
Head-to-Head Record: Andreeva leads 3-1
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN App
Both Mirra Andreeva and Barbora Krejcikova won their first-round matches in straight sets. Andreeva took out Magda Linette 7-5, 6-4, while Krejcikova defeated Hannah Klugman 6-1, 6-4.
The straightforward victory is a good sign for Krejcikova, who was forced to withdraw from the ‘s-Hertogenbosch final due to illness and then lost her following match in Eastbourne ahead of Wimbledon.
An in-form Krejcikova is always a dangerous foe on grass — after all, she was Wimbledon champion in 2024.
Of course, Andreeva’s form certainly isn’t in question coming off her first Grand Slam title at this year’s French Open. It turns out her play has caught the eye of the GOAT, too.
Andreeva was a quarterfinalist at Wimbledon last season and is one of the top contenders to lift the trophy this year.
The Russian is showing a 7.69x payout to win Wimbledon on PrizePicks Team Picks, matching Amanda Anisimova and Jessica Pegula, and just behind defending champion Iga Swiatek (7.14x payout).
Still, Krejcikova probably shouldn’t be ruled out in this one. She owns a 69.2% career win rate in tour-level grass matches, whereas Andreeva has been less consistent over her young career (53.3%).

Barbora Krejcikova vs. Mirra Andreeva Pick for Wimbledon on Wednesday
Krejcikova vs. Andreeva Pick — 21.5 Total Games
Although Andreeva leads the head-to-head against Krejcikova, 3-1, two of those wins have come through the latter retiring. Their last completed matchup came at the 2024 Australian Open, and Krejcikova won in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 6-2).
Per Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings, Andreeva has just a 29-point advantage on grass, which suggests a very even matchup.
Andreeva may have won her first-round match in straight sets, but she did look shaky at times, as she logged seven double faults and was broken twice. The 19-year-old could be working through some rust after playing only one grass match ahead of Wimbledon.
Karolina Muchova vs. Shuai Zhang Prediction for Wimbledon — Wednesday, July 1
Match Winner Payouts: Muchova 1.12x | Zhang 5.26x
Tournament Round: Second Round
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: Muchova 29-8 | Zhang 17-20
Head-to-Head Record: Muchova Leads 3-0
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN App
After inexplicably failing to get out of the first round in four straight Wimbledons, Karolina Muchova decisively broke that streak, defeating Anastasia Zakharova 6-3, 6-2.
Muchova was lethal on serve, racking up 10 aces and winning 90% of her first-serve points and 80% of her second-serve points.
Her performance continues a positive grass campaign for Muchova, which includes winning a title at Bad Homburg. A true “what if” player who’s been plagued by injuries over the years, Muchova is one of the best on tour when healthy, and she could be peaking at the right time.
Despite her recent poor results at Wimbledon, Muchova was a quarterfinalist here in 2021 and 2019.
Shuai Zhang remains a successful doubles player at age 37, but she’s not much of a force in singles play. This is just the second time in her last 10 major main-draw appearances that she has advanced to the second round.

Muchova vs. Zhang Pick for Wimbledon on Wednesday
Karolina Muchova Pick — 23.5 Fantasy Score
Per Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings, Muchova ranks sixth on grass while Zhang is 80th.
Muchova is 3-0 against Zhang and has never lost a set to her. The two actually just played on grass in Berlin a couple of weeks ago, and Karolina won 6-1, 6-3. She won 87.5% of her first-serve points while tallying nine aces.
Zhang is 0-7 versus top-10 opponents over the past two seasons, and Muchova comes in as the world No. 9.

Mirra Andreeva, Karolina Muchova, and Tommy Paul are all looking to advance past the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the first time, and it will require a second-round win on Wednesday from each of them.
Meanwhile, two-time major champion Barbora Krejcikova could emerge as a dark horse contender if she’s able to get past Andreeva.
