2026 Wimbledon Predictions, Tennis Picks – Thursday, July 2
Before we get into our Wimbledon predictions for Thursday, here’s a quick look at the three matches we’re focusing on and the consensus favorites on PrizePicks Team Picks — where you can pick winners on each match.
Caty McNally vs. Elena Rybakina — Second Round
- McNally – 4.16x payout | Rybakina – 1.2x payout
Jakub Mensik vs. Grigor Dimitrov — Second Round
- Mensik – 1.47x payout | Dimitrov – 2.56x payout
Jasmine Paolini vs. Viktorija Golubic — Second Round
- Paolini – 1.58x payout | Golubic – 2.27x payout
On PrizePicks Team Picks, a 2x payout represents a return of $200 on a $100 entry (or $20 on $10). A lower payout multiplier signals a higher implied probability of that result based on user picks.
Payouts are live at the time of writing and are subject to change. Tennis winner markets are available in 35 states.
Caty McNally vs. Elena Rybakina Wimbledon Prediction — Thursday, July 2
Match Winner Payouts: McNally 4.16x | Rybakina 1.2x
Tournament Round: Second Round
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: McNally 19-16 | Rybakina 32-10
Head-to-Head Record: Tied, 1-1
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN App
World No. 2 Elena Rybakina was Wimbledon champion in 2022, and she also won this year’s Australian Open — so we know her sky-high ceiling when she’s at her best.
However, Rybakina was most recently bounced in the second round of the French Open and went just 1-2 on grass ahead of coming to the All England Club. Being forced to a third set by a struggling Lois Boisson (1-6 in 2026) in the first round doesn’t alleviate any concerns about Rybakina’s form, either.
Her opponent, Caty McNally, also saw a second-round exit at Roland Garros, but she took advantage of the grass-season schedule, entering three tournaments and winning five of eight matches.
That being said, McNally hasn’t had much success at Grand Slams, advancing to the third round only once (2020 US Open). This is just her second time in the Wimbledon second round, too.
Ultimately, even with Ryabkina showing suspect form of late, McNally could still have trouble pulling off the upset.

McNally vs. Rybakina Pick for Wimbledon on Thursday
McNally vs. Rybakina Pick — 21.5 Total Games
Per Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings, Rybakina ranks fourth on grass while McNally checks in at 37th. Elena has roughly a 177-point advantage.
Rybakina owns a strong 70.0% career win rate in tour-level grass matches, and she’s 22-4 in the Wimbledon main draw. In contrast, McNally has a 52.0% career win percentage on the surface and is 2-3 at Wimbledon.
The American is just 1-14 lifetime versus top-20 opponents.
Jakub Mensik vs. Grigor Dimitrov Wimbledon Prediction — Thursday, July 2
Match Winner Payouts: Mensik 2.56x | Dimitrov 1.47x
Tournament Round: Second Round
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: Mensik 23-11 | Dimitrov 4-9
Head-to-Head Record: Mensik Leads 2-1
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN App
Although Jakub Mensik played only one grass tune-up match ahead of Wimbledon and then gutted out a five-setter straight out of the gate in the first round, he likely entered this tournament with a ton of confidence after reaching the semifinals at the French Open.
The 20-year-old also reached the fourth round of the 2026 Australian Open and could be in the midst of a breakthrough campaign.
On the other hand, Grigor Dimitrov has seen his ranking plummet to No. 146 in what’s been a disastrous season, going 4-9 in tour-level matches and 6-13 overall. He even had a stretch where he went 1-11 across all levels.
Dimitrov has found some success since the tour turned to grass, going 4-2 in Mallorca and a Challenger event. He also won his first-round match against Dane Sweeny in straight sets, perhaps giving him some added belief.
Still, the 35-year-old doesn’t have a win over a top-50 player all season (0-5), and defeating a younger opponent playing some of the tennis of his career could be a big ask.

Mensik vs. Dimitrov Pick for Wimbledon on Thursday
Jakub Mensik Pick — 25 Fantasy Score
Note: In PrizePicks tennis fantasy scoring, players earn 10 points to start (match played), games won/lost are +1/-1, sets won/lost at +3/-3, aces are 0.5, while double faults count for -0.5.
Mensik is 2-0 versus Dimitrov, but both of their matches went to a deciding set. Those battles came in 2024, with the Czech player winning 6-2, 6-7(4), 63 in Madrid and 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in Shanghai.
Due to Mensik’s first-round match against world No. 123 Toby Samuel going five sets, he scored 19 fantasy points.
Despite Dimitrov’s disappointing season, he racked up 23 aces in his straight-sets first-round win versus Dane Sweeny, showing the tank isn’t completely empty. It’s possible he could still give Mensik some problems.
Dimitrov’s reached the fourth round at Wimbledon three years in a row and had Jannik Sinner on the ropes last year before an injury forced him to retire.
Mensik came into Wimbledon with a 6-8 grass record, showing his overall inexperience on the surface. Dimitrov is very comfortable on grass, owning a 51-35 career record.
Jasmine Paolini vs. Viktorija Golubic Prediction for Wimbledon — Thursday, July 2
Match Winner Payouts: Paolini 1.58x | Golubic 2.27x
Tournament Round: Second Round
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: Paolini 11-12 | Golubic 22-15
Head-to-Head Record: Golubic 3-1
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN App
Jasmine Paolini is favored in this match against Viktorija Golubic, but the Italian has struggled to an 11-12 record this season. Paolini was also hampered by a recent foot issue that contributed to her second-round loss in the French Open, and she played only one grass tune-up match before coming here.
Paolini looked to be on her way out of this tournament in the first round after losing her opening set 0-6 to Robin Montgomery, but she managed to battle back and win in three sets.
While she deserves credit for engineering that comeback, getting bageled by the world No. 195 doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. Paolini’s form looks far removed from the player who reached the Wimbledon final in 2024.
Viktorija Golubic’s 22-15 record includes a lot of lower-level events, but she’s fresh off a semifinal appearance at Nottingham, helping her to a 6-2 grass record this season. This is also Golubic’s best career surface, as she has a 52.2% win rate in tour-level grass matches.
Overall, between Golubic’s solid history on grass and Paolini’s inconsistent form, the underdog might have a real chance.

Paolini vs. Golubic Pick for Wimbledon on Thursday
Jasmine Paolini Pick — 15.5 Fantasy Score
Note: In PrizePicks tennis fantasy scoring, players earn 10 points to start (match played), games won/lost are +1/-1, sets won/lost at +3/-3, aces are 0.5, while double faults count for -0.5.
Paolini has struggled to string together wins this season and hasn’t won two matches in a row since Indian Wells in March.
At a listed height of 5’4”, Paolini isn’t known for her big serve. She’s produced a modest 2.4% ace rate in 2026.
Despite winning her first-round match, the Italian scored only 12.5 fantasy points.
Golubic leads the head-to-head against Paolini 3-1. Jasmine’s one win came in three sets.
