Marta Kostyuk vs. Jasmine Paolini Wimbledon Prediction — Wednesday, July 8
Match Winner Payouts: Kostyuk 1.35x | Paolini 2.94x
Tournament Round: Quarterfinals
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: Kostyuk 22-5 | Paolini 11-12
Head-to-Head Record: Paolini Leads 2-1
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN App
Marta Kostyuk didn’t play any grass matches ahead of Wimbledon, but she’s coming off a stellar clay swing that has carried over into this run to the quarterfinals. Kostyuk went 16-1 on the red dirt, winning a pair of titles (Rouen and Madrid) and then reaching the semifinals at the French Open.
That was her first career major semifinal, and she’s now one win away from a second one. Previously, Kostyuk had never advanced past the third round at Wimbledon.
Jasmine Paolini entered the tournament with low expectations, sporting a sub-.500 record and playing just one grass tune-up match, yet she’s suddenly come alive with four straight wins at the All England Club. She most recently took out up-and-comer Alexandra Eala in front of a certain eight-time Wimbledon champion.
Paolini finished as the Wimbledon runner-up in 2024 and seems to be finding some of that magic once again.
However, while the Italian leads the head-to-head 2-1, these two haven’t played since 2023, and Kostyuk has enjoyed the far better overall season.
In addition to an excellent 23-5 record, Kostyuk entered Wimbledon winning 61.5% of her service points and 48.7% of her return points. On the other hand, Paolini came in with an 11-12 record while winning 55.7% of her service points and 43.8% of her return points.
Kostyuk has lost only once since April, and that was to eventual champion Mirra Andreeva at the French Open. Despite previously struggling on grass, the Ukrainian is in the midst of an incredible run of tennis and could cause problems for Paolini.

Marta Kostyuk vs. Jasmine Paolini Pick for Wimbledon Quarterfinals
Kostyuk vs. Paolini — 21.5 Total Games
Both players have already played two three-setters apiece through the first four rounds.
Per Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings, Paolini actually has the slight edge on grass despite her underwhelming 2026 season. She ranks 24th on the surface while Kostyuk checks in at 27th.
Even with Paolini’s dream run to the 2024 Wimbledon final, she actually came in with just a 15-18 career grass record across all levels. Kostyuk falls in the same boat, though, owning a 16-19 career record on the surface.

Flavio Cobolli vs. Arthur Fery Wimbledon Prediction — Tuesday, July 7
Match Winner Payouts: Cobolli 1.33x | Fery 3.12x
Tournament Round: Quarterfinals
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: Cobolli 23-14 | Fery 4-4
Head-to-Head Record: Fery Leads 1-0
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN App
Of all the men’s quarterfinalists, Arthur Fery is no doubt the biggest surprise of the bunch.
The British wild card has played only eight tour-level matches all year, and he’d never been past the second round of a major. Yet, here he is in the Wimbledon quarterfinals as the host country’s last hope.
While Fery benefited from a generous early draw, facing unseeded players through the first three rounds, he finally ran into an in-form Grigor Dimitrov in the round of 16. Despite having a down year, Dimitrov was fresh off victories over Jakub Mensik and Matteo Berrettini, two players who were coming off deep runs at the French Open.
But Fery was up to the challenge, going the distance to defeat Dimitrov 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(7) in just under four hours.
Across all levels, the 23-year-old has now gone 10-3 on grass on his way to these quarters, and it looks like his reps ahead of Wimbledon have paid off in a big way.
Meanwhile, Flavio Cobolli hasn’t suffered a letdown following his runner-up finish at the French Open, and this is now his second straight Wimbledon quarterfinal.
As the world No. 10, Cobolli is the clear favorite against an unlikely quarterfinalist ranked outside the top 100.
Although Fery actually leads their head-to-head 1-0 after defeating Cobolli at this year’s Australian Open, the Italian has clearly upped his level since that loss.
During this Wimbledon run, Cobolli has defeated four straight opponents ranked inside the top 100, and he most recently got a top-10 win over Alex de Minaur in straight sets.

Flavio Cobolli vs. Arthur Fery Pick for Wimbledon Quarterfinals
Arthur Fery Pick — 18.5 Total Games Won
According to Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings, Cobolli ranks 23rd on grass, whereas Fery ranks 106th. While this doesn’t account for either player's victories at this Wimbledon, it demonstrates just how surprising Fery’s tournament has been.
All of Fery’s matches have gone at least four sets, and the last two have reached a deciding fifth set. Fatigue could be a factor, particularly for a player who’s previously never made a deep run at a Grand Slam.
Only one of Fery’s four Wimbledon wins has come against a player ranked inside the top 100 (world No. 37 Zizou Bergs). While the Brit defeated a big name in Dimitrov, the Bulgarian had struggled to a 4-9 record before his resurgence here.

Marta Kostyuk and Jasmine Paolini have had very different seasons, but this could be a competitive matchup between two players separated by only a few spots in the world rankings. Flavio Cobolli will look to end Arthur Fery’s dream run in front of the pro-British crowd.
