The 2026 MLB All-Star Week festivities are in full swing, and the iconic Home Run Derby takes place on Monday evening at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
The 2026 Home Run Derby field features some of baseball’s top power hitters, including 2025 Home Run Derby runner-up and Tampa Bay Rays 3B Junior Caminero, Chicago White Sox 1B Munetaka Murakami, and New York Yankees 1B Ben Rice.
In addition, the 2026 installment will feature a home flavor with Philadelphia Phillies 1B Bryce Harper and DH Kyle Schwarber competing at their home ballpark.
Entering the All-Star break, Schwarber leads the majors with 32 home runs and is the Home Run Derby favorite, while Harper has blasted 20 long balls of his own.
Since both Harper and Schwarber are extremely familiar with the confines of Citizens Bank Park, do either have what it takes to win the 2026 MLB Home Run Derby?

Harper won the 2018 Home Run Derby and went on to defeat his future teammate, Schwarber, in the Finals. The then-Nationals slugger was the No. 2 seed in the bracket that season and just edged out then-Atlanta Braves 1B Freddie Freeman, 13-12, to move on.
In the Semifinals, Harper bested Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Max Muncy, 13-12, to set up the showdown with Schwarber.
In the Finals, Schwarber belted 18 home runs. When Harper stepped up to the plate, he got off to a fairly slow start before slugging six home runs in the final 30 seconds of his round to tie it up.
Harper earned a 30-second bonus during his round and hit his 19th home run to win the 2018 Home Run Derby crown.
Harper also competed in the 2013 Home Run Derby at Citi Field in his first full season after being called up early in the 2012 campaign. Back in 2013, it wasn’t a bracket-style competition; the four players with the most home runs advanced to the Semifinals.
The nine-time All-Star ended up belting 8 home runs in the First Round and followed it up with an 8-home-run performance in Round 2 to clinch a spot in the Finals against Oakland Athletics OF Yoenis Céspedes. However, Céspedes got the best of Harper, outslugging him 9-8 in the Finals.

The left-handed slugger followed that up by topping former Phillies 1B Rhys Hoskins in the Semifinals, 21-20.
Schwarber ultimately came up one home run short against his future teammate Harper in the Finals that year.
After taking a few years off from the competition, Schwarber participated in the 2022 Home Run Derby at Dodger Stadium as a member of the Phillies.
Schwarber slugged 33 home runs before the All-Star break in his first season with Philadelphia and earned the No. 1 seed in the Home Run Derby as a result.
Schwarber matched up against legendary St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols in Round 1. The Phillies’ star ended up belting 19 home runs, but fell to Pujols, 20-19, in a swing-off after the two were tied.
