2026 World Cup Bracket for Quarterfinals: Updated

The 2026 World Cup Quarterfinals will play from Thursday, July 9, through Saturday, July 11. Each match is single-elimination, with the winner advancing to the Semifinals and the loser eliminated.

One side of the bracket features France vs. Morocco and Spain vs. Belgium, with those winners meeting in the first Semifinal. 

The other side features Norway vs. England and Argentina vs. Switzerland, with those winners meeting in the second Semifinal.

France marches to the Quarterfinals as the favorite to win the World Cup after knocking out Paraguay and Sweden. Morocco kept its run alive with two second-half goals vs. Canada, and a penalty-kick win over Netherlands.

Spain advanced past Portugal in the Round of 16, and Belgium ended the USA’s World Cup run to set up one of the biggest Quarterfinal matchups on the board.

On the other side of the bracket, Norway shockingly eliminated Brazil behind 2 goals from Erling Haaland, and England knocked out Mexico, surviving the Mexican onslaught after going down to 10 men. 

Finally, Lionel Messi and Argentina overcame a 2-0 deficit vs. Egypt, to win 3-2 on a stoppage time goal, and Switzerland advanced past Colombia in penalties.

The 2026 World Cup Final is set for Sunday, July 19, at 3 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium, also known as New York New Jersey Stadium, in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Semifinal winners will meet in the Final, while the losing teams from the Semifinals will play in the Third Place match on Saturday, July 18.
