Sudo is the 11-time women’s Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating champion, and she owns the record with 51 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Last year, there was a 10.25 margin between her and second-place Michelle Lesco — more on that below.
Who Won the 2025 Women’s Hot Dog Eating Contest?
Miki Sudo won the 2025 Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4, 2025, eating 33 hot dogs and buns. In second was Michelle Lesco, with 22.75 hot dogs and buns.
However, the 2021 Hot Dog Eating Contest arguably gets an “asterisk” next to the winner, as Miki Sudo could not participate due to pregnancy (her husband, Nick Wehry, is also a competitive eater).
Before all that, Sudo won the contest 11 times, including every year between 2014 and 2020. That span included her then-best of 48.5 hot dogs — 4.85 per minute — in 2020.
Sudo downed 51 hot dogs in 10 minutes to break her own record at Coney Island in 2024.
Sudo has eaten at least 30 hot dogs in every contest since 2014, including eating 40 or more in four Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contests.
In 2024, Miki Sudo won with a women’s record of 51 hot dogs and buns eaten. She dominated the field, similar to Chestnut on the men’s side, as second-place Mayoi Ebihara only ate 37 hot dogs — still a massive number on the women’s side. Ebihara has not competed since.
