Natalia Silva celebrates a win against Andrea Lee during a UFC 292 mixed martial arts fight, Saturday, August 19, 2023, in Boston. Silva won via unanimous decision.

Since December 2018, only two women have held the UFC flyweight title. Valentina “Bullet” Shevchenko was the division’s longtime champion, and a three-part series with Alexa Grasso saw the Mexico native hold the belt for a short period. A third name will be added to the list in Salt Lake City this weekend in the UFC 332 main event: Silva vs. Wang

Bubbly Brazilian kickboxing technician Natalia Silva will look to prove that nice gals can finish first if she can defeat Wang Cong, an experienced pressure specialist from China.

The UFC 332 main card features five fights, with Silva a moderate favorite over Wang in the main event, according to PrizePicks Team Picks payouts.

In the co-main event, rising bantamweight prospect Payton Talbott will look to bolster his claim to a title eliminator as he battles former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo.

UFC 332: Silva vs. Wang's main card starts Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+, and we’re breaking down every fight with UFC 332 predictions, predictive model analysis, and PrizePicks UFC picks for Silva vs. Wang and the rest of the main card.

UFC 332 Predictions for Silva vs. Wang & Main Fight Card

Before we get into our UFC 332 predictions for Saturday, here’s a brief intro on what you'll find below.

UFC 332: Silva vs. Wang’s main card is expected to start at 9:00 p.m. ET with the first main card fight. Here’s a full rundown of the proceedings:

  • Main Event: Natalia Silva vs. Wang Cong — Women’s Flyweight Championship
  • Co-Main Event: Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Payton Talbott — Bantamweight
  • King Green vs. Esteban Ribovics — Lightweight
  • Roberto Soldic vs. Khaos Williams — Welterweight
  • Ateba Gautier vs. Roman Kopylov — Middleweight

We’ll list the payouts for who will win each UFC 332 main card fight, via PrizePicks Team Picks. For example, a 2x means the result will payout $200 on a $100 entry. A lower payout multiplier signals a higher implied probability of that result based on user picks.

PrizePicks Team Picks payouts are live at the time of writing and are subject to change. UFC winner markets are available in 36 states, including Florida, California, and Texas!

Natalia Silva vs. Wang Cong Prediction for UFC 332

Fight Winner Payouts: Natalia Silva x | Wang Cong x (via PrizePicks Team Picks)

Weight Class: Women’s Flyweight (125 lbs.)

Silva vs. Wang Model Results:

Fighter Natalia Silva Wang Cong
Win 46.1% 53.9%
Win By Finish 22.0% 24.3%
Win by (T)KO 9.3% 16.5%
Win by Sub 12.7% 7.9%
Win by Dec 24.1% 29.6%

Valentina Shevchenko and this 125-pound division are almost exclusively synonymous in UFC history. It’s unfortunate that her latest injury has put this division’s undisputed belt on the line, but UFC did a nice job picking the two to battle for it.

Many believe Brazil’s Natalia Silva would have given the longtime champion fits. Silva’s a perfect 8-0 in UFC with a sparkling +2.45 striking success rate (SSR) and one of the most notorious point-fighting styles ever. I’ll admit that I’m glad I have a model because I’ve lamented that it’s not the most interesting to watch:

I can’t deny the effectiveness of winning five straight clean, unanimous decisions with elite striking (66%) and takedown (90%) defense overall. She’s one more shutout from the ultimate goal, and that’s all she cares about.

Wang Cong will try to deny her that, though. I don’t have to speculate if Wang would have given Shevchenko issues when she actually did, winning a 2015 kickboxing match. That led to a meteoric rise through the Road to UFC program in Asia, and the Chinese star has won five of her six UFC fights.

She did get caught recklessly trading with Gabi Fernandes, but even with the setback, her +4.09 SSR towers over Silva's with comparable defensive metrics.

This looks like it’ll take place almost exclusively on the feet, as neither woman averages 1.00 takedown per 15 minutes and both have elite defense. With that the case, I’m not overly surprised the model gave a slight verdict to Wang in this matchup.

Beyond efficiency metrics, Wang’s power has appeared much more often in her fights.

Silva vs. Wang Pick for UFC 332 Tonight

Natalia Silva – 72.5 Significant Strikes

10 of these women’s 14 total fights in UFC have gone the full distance, so I understand expecting that sort of battle for points even with added time on a title fight. I just wouldn’t get lazy here.

Wang has surrendered two submission attempts in UFC. One was completed by Fernandes, and the other from Eduarda Moura required being saved at the horn. Silva hasn’t even attempted a single submission in UFC, but the skills are likely there. She had seven (!) on the regional scene long ago.

Plus, Wang has dropped three of her six opponents. Silva hasn’t been touched enough (2.36 significant strikes absorbed per minute) to really know if an equally skilled opponent can rock her.

The model’s forecast for a full fight (53.7% of the time) wasn’t as high as I expected it to be. I think Silva will need plenty of time to dent Wang's excellent 60% striking defense.

Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Payton Talbott Prediction for UFC 332

Fight Winner Payouts: Deiveson Figueiredo 5.26x | Payton Talbott 1.14x (via PrizePicks Team Picks)

Weight Class: Bantamweight (135 lbs.)

Figueiredo vs. Talbott Model Results:

Fighter Deiveson Figueiredo Payton Talbott
Win 25.9% 74.1%
Win By Finish 13.2% 42.1%
Win by (T)KO 6.5% 31.6%
Win by Sub 6.7% 10.5%
Win by Dec 12.7% 32.0%

When you’re nicknamed “The God of War”, you can’t handpick matchups. Deiveson Figueiredo definitely can’t be accused of such.

After losing to four top-five fighters in his last five fights, you’d think maybe he’d take a breather, but in steps one of the most dangerous prospects in the sport. Reno’s Payton Talbott is looking to show out close to home.

From a high-volume decision on the Contender Series, Talbott’s star potential was obvious. He went on to finish his first three opponents before a January 2025 fight with Raoni Barcelos, where the great Brazilian veteran exposed a hole in his game and landed 8 takedowns to win.

The American went to the lab and cleaned it up. He’s since stuffed 18 of 22 takedowns in two convincing wins, and good luck with his 70” reach at distance, per a +3.21 SSR.

Falling on hard times here, Figueiredo probably knows himself that he’ll struggle to win minutes here. But, this is an athlete who made a career on big moments, posting a 1.67% knockdown rate (KD%) and 1.2 submission attempts per 15 minutes as the second-leading finisher in flyweight history.

“Deus de Guerra” has just had a hard time maintaining those same rates at 135 pounds, though. He’s dropped just one of his eight foes, and he’s managed just two total submission attempts. Those career-long metrics haven’t quite stuck in a new weight class.

Figgy will be hunting a big moment to turn back the clock in Utah, but he’ll do well to survive Talbott’s striking onslaught on the wrong end of a five-inch height gap.

Figueiredo vs. Talbott Pick for UFC 332

Payton Talbott – 53.5 Significant Strikes

Especially when you consider the lopsided nature of his fights against elite competition, there is no questioning Deiveson Figueiredo’s toughness.

He has yet to be dropped in eight fights in this weight class — or since a 2021 bout with Brandon Moreno.

That’s good news for the striking totals of Payton Talbott, who lands an elite 6.62 significant strikes per minute with 56% accuracy as is.

If Talbott enters a flow state, an early finish might not even derail this projection. He landed 79 in under six minutes against Cameron Saaiman in March 2024.

King Green vs. Esteban Ribovics Prediction for UFC 332

Fight Winner Payouts: King Green 2.70x | Esteban Ribovics 1.40x (via PrizePicks Team Picks)

Weight Class: Lightweight (155 lbs.)

Green vs. Ribovics Model Results:

Fighter King Green Esteban Ribovics
Win 47.4% 52.6%
Win By Finish 21.9% 26.3%
Win by (T)KO 11.4% 20.8%
Win by Sub 10.4% 5.5%
Win by Dec 25.6% 26.3%

I never could have predicted the late-career stardom that has befallen the active, confident lightweight King Green from California, but I’m here for it.

The now 40-year-old formerly known as Bobby once went to 10 straight decisions on the edge of the rankings through April 2021, and it seemed he’d never be more than a journeyman. Then, a finish of Tony Ferguson and a main-event upset of Grant Dawson springboarded this current 7-3 run, and it feels like you better have your house in order to fight him.

Green’s elite vision shows up in a 62% striking defense across 342 octagon minutes. He has a +2.86 SSR in that gigantic sample. I don’t know if he’s always had the most focus or confidence, but his body is still cooperating with an advanced mind for fighting, and he’ll look to embarrass another prospect on Saturday.

Esteban Ribovics just captured a prelim win in August over Edson Barboza, but the retiring Brazilian was running for dear life from the opening bell. “El Gringo” is an aggressive, pressuring brawler who brings an insane pace of 17.28 significant strikes attempted per minute.

With a willing dance partner, the Argentinian walks into the arena on “Fight of the Night” notice. Though occasional lapses in takedown defense (66%) have arisen, we’ll probably save those concerns for another day in this matchup.

This is a phenomenal dance between a bull and a matador. Green is one of the best counter snipers in the game, and Ribovics knows just one direction.

I caution counting out the American just because of his age when you look at mutual opponents. Green had a +112 striking differential against Nasrat Haqparast to Ribovics’ +12. Similarly, Green had a +69 differential against Daniel Zellhuber, and Ribovics managed just +35.

That alone isn’t confirmation Green will win the standup at an older age, but this looks like a competitive fight between two guys who always bring it.

Green vs. Ribovics Pick for UFC 332

King Green – 59.5 Significant Strikes

For as sound as Ribovics is offensively, his striking defense (54%) can leave caution to the wind.

Opponents have topped 115 significant strikes in three of his last five fights — and two of those were Ribovics wins. It’s a very dangerous game to play.

My model leans towards a longer fight (51.8% likely to go the distance) when there’s not much power here. Ribovics’ 0.43 KD% is barely higher than Green’s (0.36 KD%), and the veteran has gone the full distance in 15 of his 29 UFC appearances.

Roberto Soldic vs. Khaos Williams Prediction for UFC 332

Fight Winner Payouts: Roberto Soldic 1.38x | Khaos Williams 2.77x (via PrizePicks Team Picks)

Weight Class: Welterweight (170 lbs.)

Roberto Soldic must be an acclaimed, credentialed fighter to be making his promotional debut on a main card. He definitely is.

The longtime KSW welterweight champion and ONE Championship alum is getting to cut the line in an exciting fight with Khaos Williams, but that’s what happens when you’ve scored a knockout in 18 of 25 pro appearances, including over former UFC champion Dricus Du Plessis.

As you’d imagine with such a record, that devastating power in his hands and his kicks shows up on tape. Wrestling hasn’t worked well for his opponents thus far, either.

Though the unknown of Soldic is a bit scary, it seems Khaos Williams has his hands full. The Detroit fighter usually has answers, though. Five of his seven UFC wins are by knockout, implying someone might be going to sleep here.

Williams has always been someone I struggle to project because he’s got a -0.37 SSR with extremely poor striking accuracy (39%) and defense (41%) when the early KO doesn’t come, but he’s got a heck of a chin and has never lost by (T)KO as a pro.

From that sample, I can forecast Soldic to get the better of the exchanges, but can he survive Williams’ power (1.67 KD%) when it lands? Does the newcomer have a weapon that Khaos can’t tank? Seeing some of the Croatian’s clean, flush punches land on highlight reels, the latter should be of the utmost concern for the underdog.

Predict the Soldic vs. Williams Winner at UFC 332 on PrizePicks

Soldic vs. Williams Pick for UFC 332

Soldic vs. Williams – 6.75 Minutes Fight Time

Soldic knows he doesn’t get paid by the minute, and he hasn't seen a ninth minute in an MMA fight since October 2018 against Du Plessis, a current middleweight.

For someone with Williams’ win condition, it might be surprising to see his average fight time (9:16) so long, but his four losses have come to fighters with an average KD% of 0.52%. They didn’t carry much power to punish his defensive fundamentals.

Soldic is easily a guy you can project north of 1.00%, even at this advanced level.

Ateba Gautier vs. Roman Kopylov Prediction for UFC 332

Fight Winner Payouts: Ateba Gautier 1.38x | Roman Kopylov 2.94x (via PrizePicks Team Picks)

Weight Class: Middleweight (185 lbs.)

Gautier vs. Kopylov Model Results:

Fighter Ateba Gautier Roman Kopylov
Win 65.3% 34.7%
Win By Finish 43.7% 13.1%
Win by (T)KO 38.4% 12.8%
Win by Sub 5.3% 0.3%
Win by Dec 21.7% 21.5%

Is Ateba Gautier for real? UFC fans will finally get the answer to that question that they so desperately crave.

The Cameroonian has been trotted out on four straight numbered cards on the prelims as a gigantic favorite in fights that felt closer to a showcase than competition. Gautier’s five UFC opponents are a combined 4-16-1 with the promotion, so when he’s run them over for a +1.72 SSR and 4.43 KD%, it’s been to expectation rather than feeling like something special.

If he runs over Roman Kopylov, it’d be an entirely different discussion.

Above all, the Russian kickboxer hasn’t been knocked out in 12 UFC appearances, going to a decision with top-10 contenders like Gregory Rodrigues and Paulo Costa. He just scored a back-and-forth win over Brazil’s Marco Tulio:

That level of competition explains a -0.54 SSR to an extent, but there have been inconsistent moments in letting his hands or lightning-fast kicks truly fly.

One way to help settle into a rhythm is by wrestling, and his sambo background has led to 2.24 takedown attempts per 15 minutes with decent conversion (50%). Gautier’s 93% takedown defense comes from his general athleticism, but it is a thought as to how to solve this puzzle.

Though not convinced Gautier is the “next big thing” from his resume, he’s undoubtedly been efficient and imposing. We’ve seen guys like Chris Curtis (+12 striking differential) outside the rankings compete with Kopylov, and the Costa fight wasn’t competitive.

UFC has been extremely careful with who Gautier faces and why. While the underdog is easily the most accomplished foe to date, his own shortcomings might be how “The Storm” keeps brewing.

Predict the Gautier vs. Kopylov Winner at UFC 332 on PrizePicks

Gautier vs. Kopylov Pick for UFC 332

Ateba Gautier – 30.5 Significant Strikes

Patience is a virtue that Ateba Gautier has mastered.

When you drop guys north of 1 in every 25 significant strikes landed, selling out for the finish and posting a massive significant strike total is so tempting. But Gautier’s volume (4.32 landed per minute) remains normal because he is extremely patient and aware of the risks that come from depleting his gas tank.

Similarly, Kopylov has gone to a decision in four of his last five bouts, and his opponents are averaging 90.2 significant strikes in this stretch.

After Gautier’s similar kickboxing match with Andrey Pulyaev that went all 15 minutes, don’t be surprised if this ends up a quality, lengthy test for the emerging prospect.

Swaim’s UFC Predictive Model for UFC 332: How It Works

Above are the results from my predictive UFC model that uses historical UFC stats, fighter attributes, tendencies, and historical finishing outcomes to estimate a fighter's win probability, how often they win by finish, and the exact method of victory.

The results for each fight are listed above as "model results".

To avoid poor results from a small sample, both fighters must have 30 minutes of octagon time or 5 completed UFC fights to be included in the model, which is why some fights will be ineligible for a result.

Each eligible UFC Fight Night main card fight is listed with model data to help you make your UFC predictions on PrizePicks today.
