Here in Week 12, it’s a huge SEC matchup as No. 10 Texas (7-2) travels to Athens to take on No. 5 Georgia (8-1) at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

The Longhorns are on a hot streak, winning four straight, propelling them to No. 10 and a spot in the College Football Playoff. This will be Texas’ third chance to beat a top-ten SEC opponent after defeating No. 6 Oklahoma (23-6) and No. 9 Vanderbilt (34-31).

Georgia is knocking on the door of the SEC Championship, as it sits in third place. The Bulldogs are even hotter after winning five straight, including a top-five win against Ole Miss.

Below, we’ll give you our Texas vs. Georgia prediction and Saturday CFB Picks for PrizePicks, including Arch Manning stat projections to target.

Texas vs. Georgia Prediction, Saturday CFB Picks

Here’s a closer look at our Texas vs. Georgia prediction and breakdown for Saturday night’s SEC matchup. Use PrizePicks to make picks on player projections for CFB Week 12.

Texas Longhorns Preview vs. Georgia

It’s been a wild season for the Longhorns. They started as the preseason No. 1 in the AP Poll but immediately lost to Ohio State, 14-7. Their biggest drop in the rankings came after losing to unranked Florida, 29-21, dropping from No. 9 to unranked. A win over No. 6 Oklahoma boosted them back into the top 25, and they’ve been in the top 10 since the first week of October.

Manning being an early Heisman Trophy candidate brought him a lot of attention. It didn’t start well with the Week 1 loss, when he threw for 170 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. The former No. 1 recruit has rebounded recently, throwing for 12 TDs, 3 INTs, and averaging 257.3 yards over the last six games.

Texas is succeeding because it's protecting the ball. During its current four-game winning streak, the Longhorns have only had one giveaway.

Georgia Bulldogs Preview vs. Texas

Is Georgia a dynasty? Their opponent might think so; Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian points out during a press conference this week that the Bulldogs have appeared in four straight SEC championship games.

Georgia made QB Gunner Stockton its starter after Miami signed former Bulldogs QB Carson Beck. Stockton is thriving, ranking third in the country in quarterback rating (89.4).

Defensively, Georgia is once again one of the better programs, ranking 28th in points allowed per game (21.5), 21st in opponent average scoring margin (12.6), and 22nd in yards per game (325.5).
