Giannis Antetokounmpo Next Team Payouts
On January 29, Antetokounmpo had a 2.04x payout to stay on the Bucks. That’s dropped slightly to 1.96x, as Jake Fischer reported on Tuesday that Giannis is likely to stay in Milwaukee.
On January 29, the Minnesota Timberwolves held a 14.28x payout for The Greek Freak’s next team. Today, that’s plummeted to a 4.16x payout as of writing, making the Wolves the favorite outside of Giannis staying with the Bucks.
The Heat remain the second-favorite destination with a 6.66x payout, while the Warriors are way down at 8.33x payout.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to Timberwolves Trade Rumors, Mock Trade Proposal
Minnesota has been a steady riser in the Giannis sweepstakes. Brian Windhorst of ESPN even reported the Timberwolves could look to involve a third or fourth team in a trade.
Assuming Minnesota elects to retain SG Anthony Edwards and PF Julius Randle, this franchise still has intriguing pieces to offer. On January 28, Charania reported the Bucks would pursue a blue-chip young talent and/or draft picks.
Bucks Receive:
- F Jaden McDaniels
- C Naz Reid
- G Rob Dillingham
- 2026 First-round Pick
- 2028 First-round Pick
- 2030 First-round Pick
- 2032 First-round Pick
Timberwolves Receive:
- F Giannis Antetokounmpo
Timberwolves F Jaden McDaniels is an excellent defender and is on pace to record a career-high 15.2 PPG. He’s still only 25, and Wolves G Rob Dillingham is another young talent as the 2024 NBA Draft’s eighth overall selection.
Giannis has a massive $54.1 million cap hit, via Spotrac, meaning Minnesota will need to offload some salary.
As part of a three-team deal with the Bulls and Pistons, the Wolves got some cap relief by moving Timberwolves PG Mike Conley ($10.7 million cap hit). The franchise could make even more room by trading Timberwolves C Naz Reid, who has a $21.5 million salary this season.
Minnesota’s draft capital may lack, though, as it does not own its 2027, 2029, and 2031 first-round picks. Plus, the Wolves’ 2026 and 2030 first-round selections are conditional, harming each pick’s value. A three or four-team trade could be necessary for Minnesota to acquire the two-time former MVP.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to Heat Trade News, Mock Trade Proposal
Miami has consistently been labeled as a contender for Giannis, and it has the pieces to meet Milwaukee’s wants.
Brett Siegel of Clutch Points reported the Bucks could request Heat G Tyler Herro and all of Miami’s young pieces. Here’s a mock trade for that scenario:
Bucks Receive:
- G Tyler Herro
- C Kel’el Ware
- G Pelle Larsson
- 2026 First-round Pick
- 2028 First-round Pick
- 2029 First-round Pick
- 2030 First-round Pick
Heat Receive:
- F Giannis Antetokounmpo
Herro could be Miami’s top selling point, as he’s averaged over 20.0 points per game (PPG) in five consecutive seasons — including this season’s 21.9 PPG.
Second-year Heat C Kel’el Ware was the 15th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and has posted 11.4 PPG and 9.3 rebounds per game (RPG) this season. Heat G Pelle Larsson could be the final piece of the puzzle, as the second-year wing has emerged as a solid rotational piece, courtesy of 10.3 PPG in the 2025-26 campaign.
Rounding out the package, Miami could offer its next four first-round picks. This would meet the Bucks’ want for young pieces and draft picks. Plus, Herro’s known production sweetens the deal.
Giannis Antetokounmpo to Warriors Trade Rumors, Mock Trade Proposal
Similar to the Heat, Golden State has been tabbed as a potential landing spot since the news broke. However, the Warriors’ chances have slowly declined in the last week, as have many trade rumors surrounding the team.
Warriors SF Jimmy Butler was given reassurances that he will not be on the move. What trade proposal could be on the table?
Bucks Receive:
- F Jonathan Kuminga
- G Brandin Podziemski
- G Buddy Hield
- 2026 First-round Pick
- 2027 First-round Pick
- 2028 First-round Pick
- 2029 First-round Pick
- 2031 First-round Pick
- 2032 First-round Pick
Warriors Receive:
- F Giannis Antetokounmpo
Golden State holds full ownership of six of its next seven first-round picks. Landing Antetokounmpo could require every Warriors’ draft pick.
Warriors SF Jonathan Kuminga (12.1 PPG) and G Brandin Podziemski (12.1 PPG) are likely the best “young talents” Golden State could offer. They simply do not offer as much punch compared to the Heat and Timberwolves.
