Following the season-ending ACL injury of Warriors F Jimmy Butler, the Golden State Warriors have been tabbed as a potential buyer ahead of the NBA trade deadline on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
Golden State is in the spotlight for a boatload of potential moves; the Warriors are a leader in trade rumors to land Giannis Antetokounmpo, trailing only the Timberwolves and Heat and potential next teams, per PrizePicks Team Picks payouts.
Let’s round up the latest Warriors trade rumors and highlight three mock trades, including the latest payouts on PrizePicks Team Picks in the NBA Futures category.

Bucks-Warriors Trade Rumors: Giannis Antetokounmpo Mock Trade Proposal
Bucks F Giannis Antetokounmpo is the big fish on the 2026 trade market, reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania on January 28. Rumors have mounted since last week, with Jamal Collier of ESPN writing that the Milwaukee Bucks were actively countering trade offers on Monday.
Collier labeled the Warriors, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, and Minnesota Timberwolves as the most “active suitors.”
On Sunday night, Brett Siegel of Clutch Points tabbed Golden State as a potential favorite to win the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes.
According to PrizePicks Team Picks, the Warriors are the third most-likely to be Giannis’ next team (7.29x) according to payouts.
The move would align with Golden State’s win-now strategy, as Warriors G Stephen Curry turns 38 in March. Furthermore, the franchise still carries a 27-23 record and is eighth in the Western Conference standings. PrizePicks Team Picks gives Golden State a 1.56x payout to earn a playoff berth.
According to NBA Advanced Stats, The Greek Freak takes 76.2% of his shots within 10 feet of the rim, helping replace Butler’s 64.5% mark from the same distance.
Warriors Receive:
- F Giannis Antetokounmpo
Bucks Receive:
- F Jonathan Kuminga
- G Brandin Podziemski
- F Draymond Green
- 2026 First-round Pick
- 2027 First-round Pick
- 2028 First-round Pick
- 2029 First-round Pick
- 2031 First-round Pick
- 2032 First-round Pick
The Warriors have perhaps the best draft capital among Giannis’ potential suitors, owning six of their next seven first-round picks. In any Antetokounmpo trade scenario, a wealth of first-round picks will likely be included.
Golden State can dump some salary by moving Warriors F Jonathan Kuminga and F Draymond Green, and G Brandin Podziemski would give the Bucks a potential long-term starter in the backcourt.
Team Picks data is live as of writing and is subject to change.

Clippers-Warriors Trade Rumors, Mock Trade: Kawhi Leonard On the Move?
Since late December, the Los Angeles Clippers tout an impressive 17-5 record, but that hasn’t saved the franchise from drama.
After missing back-to-back games for “personal reasons,” Charania stated Los Angeles is looking to trade Clippers SG James Harden on Monday night. He currently carries a 1.33x payout to be traded before the deadline, per PrizePicks Team Picks.
If Los Angeles ships Harden, could the franchise look to hit the reset button? Enter Clippers F Kawhi Leonard, who features a 11.11x to be traded before the deadline.
There’s surely a market for The Claw, as he’s excelled with 27.6 points per game (PPG) and 6.1 rebounds per game (RPG) while shooting 49.7% from the field and 39.1% on 3-pointers. Playing in 36 of 49 games thus far, this could be Leonard’s best since finishing fifth in the 2020 MVP voting.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there’s no official report of the Clips moving Kawhi — making this a long-shot mock trade.
Warriors Receive:
- F Kawhi Leonard
Clippers Receive:
- F Jonathan Kuminga
- F Draymond Green
- 2026 First-round Pick
- 2027 First-round Pick
- 2028 First-round Pick
- 2031 First-round Pick
Similar to acquiring Giannis, landing Leonard would address the Warriors’ need for a key forward. The Claw would likely boost Golden State’s eighth-best defensive rating, as well.
Once again, this move would aid the Warriors’ chances of winning now, as franchise centerpiece Curry approaches 40.
Kuminga and Green could be contract dumps while providing Los Angeles with some frontcourt depth. Acquiring draft picks would be the best selling point. If the Clippers move Harden and Leonard, it’s time for a rebuild, and that means retooling through the NBA Draft. Los Angeles could use some draft capital, as 2030 is its next fully-owned first-round pick.
Warriors Trade Rumors, Mock Trade Scenario: Goodbye Jonathan Kuminga?
Landing a potential franchise-shifting player like Giannis or Kawhi is far from guaranteed. We should dial it back for the Warriors’ final mock trade. They could fulfill Kuminga’s trade demand from earlier this season.
According to PrizePicks Team Picks, Kuminga has a 1.85x payout to be traded before the deadline.
After logging 16.1 and 15.3 PPG in the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons, the fifth-year forward has recorded 12.1 PPG while playing in only 20-of-50 games this season. His current 45.4% field goal percentage (FG%) is also tied for a career-low mark.
Keep in mind, Kuminga is in his first season of a two-year, $46.8 million contract, via Spotrac. Finding a suitor could be a challenge, hence tying the former first-round pick to a potential Antetokounmpo or Leonard deal.
Nets F Michael Porter Jr. has raised his value thanks to 25.6 PPG while shooting 39.8% from beyond the arc this season.
Warriors Receive:
- F Michael Porter Jr.
Nets Receive:
- F Jonathan Kuminga
- G Moses Moody
- 2026 First-round Pick
- 2029 First-round Pick
This would upgrade the forward spot for Golden State, helping replace Butler. Plus, Porter would be on contract with Butler for the 2026-27 season.
Once again, the Warriors’ draft capital is the driver of potential trades. The Nets sent F Cameron Johnson to the Nuggets for Porter and a 2032 first-round pick in the summer.
With a 13-35 record, Brooklyn is still far from completing its rebuild. Moving Porter would provide another chance to stockpile first-round selections.
