After a couple of weeks of non-conference play, the SEC schedule gets underway in college football’s Week 3. While the Lane Kiffin Bowl will get a lot of attention down in Oxford, Miss., Florida and Auburn renew a rivalry in Alabama on Saturday night.
The Gators enter as a 2.5-point road favorite on the spread, returning a 1.69x payout with a road win via PrizePicks.
The Gators and Tigers, original founding members of the SEC, played annually from 1927 to 1945 (minus the war years) before conference expansion took it out of the rotation. The two meet for the first time since 2019 in a series that Auburn leads 43-39-2.
Below, we’ll break down our Florida vs. Auburn prediction and picks for Saturday’s college football game, including the game winner, spread, and over/under for PrizePicks.

Florida vs. Auburn Prediction, Spread, Over/Under – Saturday, September 19
Both teams took care of business in the non-conference portion of the schedule. Florida secured blowout wins over Florida Atlantic and Campbell to start the Jon Sumrall era, and Auburn survived a neutral-site, 1-point win over Baylor and blew out Southern Miss in Alex Golesh’s first two games on the sideline.
Florida has used a dynamic offense to pile up 59 points per game (third-best in the nation) and 569 yards per game (sixth-best). Transfer QB Aaron Philo came with OC Buster Faulkner from Georgia Tech and has completed 76.2% of his passes with 5 TDs and 1 INT.
Additionally, Second Team All-SEC RB Jadan Baugh is top five in the country with 296 rushing yards and 5 TDs.
It’s a different offense than in 2025, where, under former coach Billy Napier, the Gators averaged an SEC-low 21.6 PPG after ranking 11th in the SEC in scoring in 2024 and ninth in both 2023 and 2022.
One of the teams that stopped last year’s Florida offense was South Florida under Golesh, one of the reasons he earned the Auburn job. Golesh’s Bulls held Florida to 16 points in an upset in Gainesville last season.
Now he's at the helm in Auburn, where he brought QB Byrum Brown and four of South Florida's top five WRs to the Plains. Brown struggled vs. Baylor, throwing 3 INTs, but rebounded with a 2-TD, 0-INT effort last week vs. Southern Miss.
