The big week is finally here, featuring six ranked-on-ranked games that might be bound to shake up the new College Football Playoff rankings that were released on Tuesday. All six matchups feature a battle of top-20 teams, with the lower-ranked club being an underdog in three of them.

One of the big ranked outings in the SEC has our attention, as does a buy-low spot in the ACC.

Below, we’ll break down our college football predictions and Saturday upset picks, including #7 Texas vs. #18 Missouri and Florida State vs. Boston College, with spreads and payouts on PrizePicks.

College Football Predictions, Upset Picks for Week 10 – Saturday, November 7

This Saturday's college football slate has plenty of underdogs, but two games stand out above the rest as potential college football upset opportunities on Saturday, November 7.

Texas aims to keep its CFP hopes alive on the road vs. Missouri on ESPN, and Florida State is starting over after firing Mike Norvell and visits Boston College on ACC Network. Both outings kick off at 12 p.m. ET.

The payouts listed below indicate real-money earnings if a prediction is correct; for example, a 2x on a $100 entry pays out $200. The lower the payout multiplier, the higher the chance of the outcome occurring, according to user picks.

#7 Texas vs. #18 Missouri: College Football Upset Watch Today

Start Time: 12 p.m. ET | TV: ESPN

Win Spread Total
TEX Longhorns 1.66x -2.5 | 1.81x 43.5 | 1.88x
MIZZ Tigers 2.51x +2.5 | 1.92x 43.5 | 1.85x

Just two weeks ago in this column, we highlighted Texas as a potential upset victim against Ole Miss. It didn’t happen, as the Ole Miss rally fell short in a 7-point loss, but the Longhorns still have not demonstrated the consistent offensive production expected from a top-10 team.

Now, the 6-2 Longhorns are in Columbia to face a Missouri Tigers team that's also 6-2, squarely in the SEC and CFP races, and has already pulled off upsets over Florida and Texas A&M.

Texas has won two straight, but the offensive numbers remain concerning. The Longhorns rank just 89th nationally in total offense (359.1 YPG), 102nd in rushing (135.4 YPG), and 53rd in scoring (30.8 PPG). Texas is also converting only 39.6% of its third downs, ranking 14th of 16 teams in the SEC.

That's a difficult formula for a road favorite against a Missouri defense that ranks 16th against the run (98.2 YPG) and 23rd in scoring (18.4 PPG).

Missouri has been dominant at home, winning all four games while averaging 38.3 points and allowing just 13.5 each time out. The four wins include an upset over Texas A&M (27-6) and a blowout of #8-ranked Florida (45-17).

Missouri enters with a more productive offense than Texas, ranking 39th in total yards (424.6 YPG) and 33rd in passing (257.1 YPG).

Another big difference between the two has been turnovers. Missouri is eighth with a +8 turnover margin, compared with Texas at -3 (98th). Tigers QB Austin Simmons, the Ole Miss transfer, has thrown 16 TDs with 2 INTs. Texas QB Arch Manning has 7 INTs to go with his 15 passing TDs.

The Longhorns are 8-13-1 against the spread in SEC games since joining the conference three years ago and have gone just 3-5 ATS this season. The winner of this one could be in a tie for first in the conference depending on Saturday’s other results.

Florida State vs. Boston College: College Football Upset Watch Today

Start Time: 12 p.m. ET | TV: ACC Network

Win Spread Total
FSU Seminoles 1.38x -6.5 | 1.85x 52.5 | 1.88x
BC Eagles 2.85x +6.5 | 1.88x 52.5 | 1.85x

It’s not often you voluntarily pick a team that just lost 47-2 the previous week, but this is a good spot for Boston College against a Florida State team in turmoil. The Seminoles parted ways with Norvell in the midst of a three-game losing skid, yet they're favored by nearly a touchdown on the road in Chestnut Hill.

FSU interim coach Rick Stockstill inherits a team that allowed 43 points vs. Miami and 36 points vs. Clemson in its last two games. The Seminoles are 126th nationally in total defense (424.4 YPG) and 105th in scoring defense (28.9 PPG).

The pass defense is 114th and the run defense is 112th, so you can move and score on FSU in multiple ways.

That's an open opportunity for a Boston College offense led by dual-threat QB Mason McKenzie, who's thrown for 1,450 yards and rushed for another 638. McKenzie leads all ACC QBs in rushing yards and has seven designed runs of at least 20 yards.

Boston College has averaged 168.1 rushing YPG, good for fifth in the ACC. The Eagles rushed for 399 yards against Georgia Tech, earning their second straight ACC win before last week's 47-2 loss to Duke.

Establishing the run game could help Boston College control the clock and limit opportunities for a Florida State offense missing injured RB Ousmane Kromah and WR Duce Robinson.

The BC defense has also shown the ability to create turnovers, leading the ACC with 14 takeaways — including 11 INTs — while Florida State has the most giveaways in the conference with 14.

The Eagles have had their issues, mainly with consistency week-to-week. They won this matchup in Tallahassee two years ago and still can get to a bowl game with two more wins.
