How to Watch College Football Games Today – Friday, November 6

Tonight’s five-game slate spans ESPN, ESPN2, FOX, and CBS Sports Network, with a new kickoff roughly every hour from 7:00 p.m. ET until the late window in the desert.

The early window doubles up. Virginia Tech at SMU kicks off on ESPN at 7:00 p.m. ET, with USF at East Carolina following 30 minutes later on ESPN2. Both are conference games, and both could go down to the wire based on the spreads.

Nebraska at Illinois takes the Big Ten primetime spot on FOX at 8:00 p.m. ET. It’s the third straight time these two have met on a Friday night, and two 5-3 teams are looking to stay in the bowl and Big Ten mix.

At 9:00 p.m. ET on CBSSN, New Mexico tries to keep its best season in years rolling against a Nevada team searching for answers at quarterback.

Then it’s back to ESPN for the nightcap. TCU visits #22 Arizona at 10:15 p.m. ET, with Wildcats QB Noah Fifita leading one of the nation’s top passing attacks against a stingy Horned Frogs defense. Stay up for this one.

Week 10 Friday Night College Football Game Previews – November 6, 2026

Five games, five different conferences on display, and four TV channels with every game. Here’s what to know about each NCAA football game on Friday night before kickoff.

Virginia Tech vs. SMU – 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN

Records: Virginia Tech 6-2 (3-2 ACC) | SMU 6-2 (4-2 ACC)

Where: Gerald J. Ford Stadium, Dallas, Texas

  • This is the first meeting ever between these two programs, and it carries some weight in the ACC race for both sides.
  • Virginia Tech comes off a bye after a 20-16 upset win at Clemson on October 24, its second straight win after back-to-back losses to Pittsburgh and Cal.
  • James Franklin’s first Hokies team has yet to lose by more than five points this season — worth noting with SMU laying 5.5 points on PrizePicks.
  • SMU is looking to bounce back from a 30-27 loss at Syracuse that snapped a four-game winning streak. The good news for the Mustangs: they’re a perfect 5-0 at home this season.
  • QB Kevin Jennings has 2,414 passing yards and 21 TDs, and all 5 of his INTs came in his first four games. He’s been even sharper at Ford Stadium, with 15 TDs and 1 INT in five home games.

USF vs. East Carolina – 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2

Records: USF 6-2 (2-2 American) | East Carolina 4-4 (2-2 American)

Where: Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, Greenville, N.C.

  • The tightest spread of the night at 1.5 points features two teams that each went 9-4 last season and entered 2026 with American title hopes.
  • Coach Brian Hartline’s first USF team rebounded from back-to-back losses to Temple and UTSA with wins over Kent State and UAB, including a 30-10 win last week where the defense allowed just 177 total yards.
  • USF QB Luke Kromenhoek did most of his damage on the ground against UAB with 92 rushing yards on 15 carries, while WR DJ Crowther leads the Bulls with 8 TDs on the season.
  • USF closes games well: the Bulls rank third in FBS in fourth-quarter point differential (+7.0 per game).
  • East Carolina is the opposite — the Pirates have won the first quarter in each of their last seven games. They held Temple to 9 points in last week’s 17-9 win, with RB TJ Engleman Jr. rushing for 107 yards and a TD. Engleman leads ECU with 6 TDs.
  • There’s added juice on the sidelines: USF defensive coordinator Josh Aldridge held the same job at East Carolina last season. ECU has won the last three meetings in this series.

Nebraska vs. Illinois – 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX

Records: Nebraska 5-3 (2-3 Big Ten) | Illinois 5-3 (3-2 Big Ten)

Where: Gies Memorial Stadium, Champaign, Ill.

  • Nebraska started 5-0 — winning every game by at least 18 points — before three straight one-score losses to Indiana, Oregon, and Washington.
  • Last week’s 17-10 loss to Washington stung: the Huskers led 7-3 for most of the second half before giving up two touchdowns in the final two minutes.
  • The Blackshirts are still a tough out in the Big 10. Nebraska leads the nation in third-down defense and ranks top 15 in total defense, scoring defense, rushing defense, and sacks. Washington managed just 32 rushing yards last week vs. this team.
  • Illinois is heading the other direction with three straight wins, including a 21-10 win over Oregon and last week’s 20-17 walk-off field goal win at Maryland.
  • Head coach Bret Bielema’s offense is balanced, averaging 164+ rushing yards and 230 passing yards per game, and Illinois is one of the least-penalized teams in the country.
  • History favors the visitor. The road team has won six of the last eight meetings between these teams, including all three Friday night matchups (2017, 2023, 2024). Nebraska is a 4.5-point road favorite on PrizePicks.

New Mexico vs. Nevada – 9:00 p.m. ET on CBSSN

Records: New Mexico 7-1 (4-0 Mountain West) | Nevada 3-5 (2-2 Mountain West)

Where: Mackay Stadium, Reno, Nev.

  • New Mexico is the story of the Mountain West. The Lobos cracked the AP Top 25 for the first time in program history this season behind a defense that leads FBS in scoring defense (11.9 points allowed per game) and turnover margin (+17).
  • The offense was ugly but effective in last week’s 21-16 win at San Jose State — New Mexico’s first win in San Jose in 57 years. The Lobos ran 43 times for 231 yards, with Kiefer Sibley adding 102 yards on 12 carries.
  • New Mexico RB Scottre Humphrey added 87 yards and 2 TDs against the Spartans, giving him 11 rushing TDs on the season.
  • Nevada’s quarterback situation is the big question. Carter Jones has missed three straight games with an arm injury, and the Wolf Pack were shut out 27-0 at UCLA last week with four INTs.
  • The splits are stark: Nevada averages 33 points per game in Jones’ starts and 13 points without him. The Wolf Pack have also forced just three takeaways all season — fewest in FBS.
  • New Mexico has never won in Reno, and last year’s meeting came down to a 24-22 finish. Nevada sits at a 4x payout to win, the longest on tonight’s board.

TCU vs. #22 Arizona – 10:15 p.m. ET on ESPN

Records: TCU 4-4 (2-3 Big 12) | Arizona 6-2 (3-2 Big 12)

Where: Casino Del Sol Stadium, Tucson, Ariz.

  • In the night cap, Arizona is looking to bounce back from a 34-26 loss at Texas Tech, which ended a five-game winning streak that included a 52-31 win at West Virginia and a 39-3 rout of Iowa State.
  • Arizona QB Noah Fifita returned for a fifth season and has the Wildcats rolling — he entered 2026 as the nation’s active leader in career passing TDs, and Arizona’s 324.1 passing yards per game rank sixth in FBS.
  • TCU’s defense is the counterpunch. The Horned Frogs allow just 14.1 points per game, setting up a strength-vs.-strength battle in the late window.
  • The problem has been the offense. Three of TCU’s four losses came in games where it scored 20 points or fewer, including setbacks to UCF, BYU, and West Virginia.
  • TCU bounced back from a homecoming loss to West Virginia with last week’s 22-16 win over Kansas, but the Horned Frogs need a statement win to climb back into the Big 12 picture.
  • Arizona is a 6.5-point favorite with a 1.33x payout to win, while TCU sits at 3.03x as the road underdog.

Week 10 Friday NCAAF Spreads, Winners, Payouts Today on PrizePicks

USF vs. East Carolina is the closest game on paper. East Carolina is favored by just 1.5 points at home, and the winner payouts — 1.92x for USF, 1.81x for ECU — are nearly identical, a true coin flip on the board.

New Mexico holds the largest spread of the night at 9.5 points, paired with the shortest payout to win (1.2x). Nevada’s 4x payout is the longest on the slate, and its value likely depends on whether Carter Jones is back under center.

Two of the other three favorites come with interesting history. Nebraska (-4.5, 1.49x) is a road favorite in a series where the visitor keeps winning, while SMU (-5.5, 1.42x) faces a Virginia Tech team that hasn’t lost by more than five points all year.

#22 Arizona (-6.5, 1.33x) caps the night as the only ranked team in action, with TCU’s 3.03x payout offering a big multiplier if the Horned Frogs’ defense can slow Fifita.
