Tennessee vs. Georgia: TD Scorer Prediction

Tennessee RB Star Thomas

  • After bouncing around from the community college ranks to New Mexico State and even Duke, Thomas appears to have found a home in Tennessee.
  • The senior RB averages a career-best 6.7 yards per carry and is yielding 0.44 EPA/rush, per Game on Paper. The latter ranks 33rd nationally.
  • Tennessee has a three-headed monster at RB with Thomas, DeSean Bishop and Peyton Lewis. No one dominates the workload, so everyone stays fresh.
  • Thomas’ 3 TD performance against ETSU might’ve set the tone for the rest of his season.

Ole Miss vs. Arkansas: TD Scorer Prediction

Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy

  • Expecting anyone else? Lacy leads SEC rushers in attempts (44), yards (246) and TDs (4) entering Week 3.
  • Lane Kiffin’s Rebels aren’t shying away from putting the ball on the ground. They rank 14th in rush attempts per game thus far.
  • Arkansas’ run defense remains suspect. Its 45.9% success rate allowed is 121st in the nation among 136 qualified programs.
  • The reigning Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week may be in for a statement performance against a high-profile opponent.

LSU vs. Florida: TD Scorer Prediction

Florida RB Jadan Baugh

  • Baugh’s ascension continues for the Gators following a 673-yard, 7-TD freshman campaign.
  • Of the top 20 rushers in total EPA, Baugh ranks 12th. He’s 19th in success rate.
  • Baugh is the unquestioned leader of the backfield, amassing more than twice as many carries (27) as second-place man Ja’Kobi Jackson (13).
  • LSU’s run defense has yet to be truly tested. Defensive coordinator Blake Baker’s group averages the third-fewest opposing rushing plays per game, creating a challenge Baugh can rise to.

Notre Dame vs. Texas A&M: TD Scorer Prediction

Texas A&M WR Mario Craver

  • After scoring 3 TDs in nine games with Mississippi State a year ago, Craver is already at the same mark in a pair of 2025 contests.
  • Despite adding 20-25 pounds since arriving on campus, Craver remains a big-play threat. His 16.86 yards per target sits tied for 30th in the sport.
  • Craver has evolved into a perfect complement for KC Concepcion, who also boasts 3 receiving TDs heading into the weekend.
  • The Fighting Irish pass defense is leaky. It ranks 127th in EPA per play and 133rd in success rate.

South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt: TD Scorer Prediction

Vanderbilt RB Makhilyn Young

  • After missing all of 2024, Young is better than ever in 2025. He and running mate Sedrick Alexander are both probable for Saturday.
  • Young doesn’t qualify for Game on Paper’s leaderboard due to volume, but his 0.56 EPA per rush would slot in at 17th.
  • Despite getting half the carries (11) of Alexander (22), the former New Mexico State standout has 73% as many yards (114 of 156).
  • Following a three-rush, 19-yard opener, Young’s workload exploded to 8 carries for 95 yards in a 44-20 win over Virginia Tech.
  • Saturday is a David vs. Goliath matchup — Vanderbilt boasts the nation’s No. 3 rush success rate but South Carolina allows just 3.1 yards per attempt

California vs. Minnesota: TD Scorer Prediction

Minnesota WR Javon Tracy

  • A transfer from Miami (OH), Tracy’s volume has significantly declined. He had 57 snags for 818 yards a season ago but 4 catches through two games.
  • While he trails both Darius Taylor and Jameson Geers in receptions (5 apiece), Tracy holds a significant Golden Gophers lead with 116 receiving yards. No one else is above 76.
  • Cal’s pass defense is a tale of two stories. It’s performed to the tune of a 14th-ranked EPA per play, albeit in a small sample (101st in pass plays faced per game).
  • The preseason Biletnikoff Award watch list member’s football DNA is obvious: Tracy is the younger brother of New York Giants RB Tyrone Tracy.
