The annual battle between Army and Navy takes place in Baltimore on Saturday afternoon with plenty of American pride on the line.

Not just for military pride, but also the final American Conference game of the season.

The Midshipmen (9-2) are on the verge of consecutive ten-victory campaigns for the first time in school history. Navy takes on former conference foe Cincinnati in the Liberty Bowl on January 2.

The Black Knights (6-5) overcame a 1-3 start to become bowl eligible with wins in four of the final six games. Army dropped off following a 12-2 performance in 2024, as the Black Knights head to the Fenway Bowl against UConn on December 27.

Let’s look at the Army vs. Navy prediction and picks for Saturday’s showdown at M&T Bank Stadium, kicking off at 3:00 p.m. ET on CBS.

Army vs. Navy Prediction on Spread

Here are some stats to know to get you set for Army vs. Navy this afternoon, including insights on our Army vs. Navy prediction.

  • The Midshipmen won and covered their final two games in the underdog role against USF and Memphis. However, Navy posted a 1-5 record against the spread as a favorite against FBS squads.
  • Army covered all three times as an underdog of 6 or more points. The Black Knights defeated Kansas State, 24-21 as 17-point dogs in Week 2 and edged UTSA as 9-point dogs, 27-24 in Week 14.
  • In last season’s meeting in Philadelphia, Navy won as 6-point underdogs. On Saturday, the Midshipmen are seeking their first cover as a favorite against Army since 2019.
  • Navy has not scored more than 21 points in consecutive meetings against Army in the past 10 years.
  • Four of Army’s five losses came by fewer than 7 points, including a pair of overtime defeats in September to Tarleton State and North Texas.

Army vs. Navy Prediction, Picks

Here are three top Army vs. Navy picks to target on Saturday. Key PrizePicks player projections are headlined by three players: Navy QB Blake Horvath, Army QB Cale Hellums, and Navy RB Alex Tecza.

Navy QB Blake Horvath vs. Army Projection: 110.5 Passing Yards

  • The senior eclipsed this projection in five games, highlighted by a 339-yard performance in a 34-31 victory over Air Force on October 4.
  • In the 28-17 win over Memphis two weeks ago, Horvath completed a season-low 5 passes. He finished with 100 passing yards, which included a 46-yard connection to set up Navy’s second TD.
  • In last season’s 31-13 rout of Army, the Ohio native threw for 107 yards, but rushed for 204 yards and a pair of scores.
  • According to PFF, Army owns the 132nd-ranked pass rushing grade, dropping from 99th in 2024.

Army QB Cale Hellums vs. Navy Projection: 108.5 Rushing Yards

  • Army doesn’t exactly possess an air attack, as Hellums carried the ground game with 1,078 yards.
  • The junior posted at least 118 rushing yards in four of the last six contests, but was held to 90 yards in a 27-24 win over UTSA two weeks ago.
  • In four games that Hellums compiled at least 30 carries, he eclipsed this projection. In seven games he ran the ball 29 or less times, he picked up more than 100 rushing yards once.
  • Navy’s defensive EPA/pass ranks 131st in the nation, but the EPA/run moves up to 61st. The Middies allow 143.2 yards per game on the ground, which is fifth among American Conference teams.

Navy RB Alex Tecza vs. Army Projection: 64.5 Rushing Yards

  • Horvath led the Midshipmen in rushing with 1,040 yards, but Tecza was right behind with a career-high 772 yards.
  • The junior saved his two best performances for the end, rushing for 126 yards in a 41-38 win over USF and 103 yards in a road triumph at Memphis.
  • It was a nice bounce-back for Tecza, who was held to 59 or fewer rushing yards in each of the previous five contests.
  • In last season’s victory over Army, he carried the ball 8 times for 24 yards. Horvath shined by carrying the ball 24 times for 204 yards.
  • Tecza has passed this projection six times and in five of those games, he picked up at least one carry of 20 yards. In the five outings being limited below 64 yards, he accumulated only two rushes of at least 10 yards.
