The Minnesota Timberwolves (45-29) are battling for playoff seeding as the regular season winds down.

Minnesota has been without SG Anthony Edwards for the last two weeks as he's dealt with a knee injury. Is it possible that Edwards could continue to be absent for Monday’s game when the Timberwolves take on the Dallas Mavericks at 8:30 p.m. ET?

Let’s take a look at the latest Anthony Edwards injury update for Monday vs. the Mavericks, plus some key stats and PrizePicks projections to monitor for Timberwolves player picks.

Anthony Edwards Injury Update: Is Edwards Playing vs. Mavericks?

The Timberwolves listed Edwards as questionable for Monday’s game vs. the Mavericks with right knee soreness.

Edwards has missed Minnesota’s last six games due to knee soreness. The 2026 NBA All-Star Game MVP last played on March 15 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, when he scored 19 points on 6-of-17 shooting in 37 minutes.

According to The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski, “signs were pointing” towards Edwards returning for Monday’s game in Dallas. However, he still has to participate in the team’s shootaround on Monday and respond well before being cleared to return to the lineup.

Edwards is in the midst of a career year in 2025-26. The four-time All-Star is averaging a career-best 29.5 points (third in the NBA), 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists while shooting a career-high 40.2% from 3-point land.

If Edwards isn’t able to take the court, who could see elevated production when it comes to NBA projections?

Anthony Edwards Injury Impact: Which Timberwolves Players to Target?

With Edwards’ status up in the air for tonight’s game, Timberwolves PF Julius Randle could keep seeing an increase in output.

Randle has certainly enjoyed an abundance of success with Edwards out of the lineup, accumulating averages of 19.3 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 5.6 APG over the past six games.

In addition, Randle has racked up averages of 22.3 PPG, 6.0 RPG, and 4.1 APG in his last 10 contests without Edwards. He's scored 20+ points in three of the last six during that span, including a 32-point performance on 10-of-17 shooting against the Phoenix Suns on March 17.

According to databallr, Randle has registered 26.0 true shot attempts per 100 possessions, ranking in the 92nd percentile. The veteran big man has hoisted up an average of 16.2 field goal attempts per game since Edwards has been sidelined.

Randle's put together averages of 20.9 PPG, 6.8 RPG, and 5.1 APG, shooting 47.5% from the field this season.
