#2 Georgia vs. Arkansas Prediction, Spread, Over/Under – Saturday, September 19

The 2025 campaign was a successful one for Georgia… until it wasn’t. Head coach Kirby Smart’s crew posted a 12-2 record in the regular season and clinched a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff, only to get beat by Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl and go back to the drawing board for 2026.

Fortunately for Smart and company, they returned the eighth-most production from last year’s group and are off to a roaring start this season. Blowouts of epic proportions against FCS Tennessee State (63-3) and CUSA’s Western Kentucky (70-20) have the Bulldogs riding high heading into Week 3. 

The defense remains dominant under Glenn Schumann, and back on the offensive side of the ball is QB Gunner Stockton. He’s looking improved in his fourth year with the program, which could help add some ceiling to this squad.

For Arkansas, it’s been tough sledding since the Sam Pittman era came to a close. Now-former head coach Bobby Petrino went 0-7 to close out last season, sparking the ushering in of Ryan Silverfield to hopefully save the program. The former star coach at Memphis is off to a 1-1 beginning to his new tenure.

The Razorbacks throttled North Alabama in Week 1 by a final of 31-14, only to get blitzed by Utah 43-10 in the first of back-to-back games vs. ranked opponents in a stretch of four of five such outings overall.  

There is some hope for Arkansas, especially with electric QB KJ Jackson under center yet again. This is a group that outgained its conference opponents in 2025 but lost every SEC game. The offense moved the ball plenty but the defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed, contributing to rotten luck and the club going a winless 0-6 in one-score affairs. 

According to 247 Sports and On3, Arkansas’ portal class ranked 33rd and fourth, respectively. Being competitive in this one would be huge. 

As far as injuries are concerned, Georgia is listing six players as out, including LBs Amaris Wilson (ACL) and Chase Linton (lower leg). OL Marcus Harrison is battling an undisclosed injury, whereas CB Justice Fitzpatrick still isn’t quite back to form yet. For Arkansas, TEs Maddox Lassiter and Hutson Hendrix are out and DB Brandon Ford is doubtful.
