Who is Gobby?

Gobby is the official goblin mascot and character of PrizePicks, and the face of Gobby&Gobby — and the face of saving your NFL lineups this season. At the (fictional) law firm, Gobby shows up in an iced-out gold grill and a suit and tie, ready to fight for fans whose picks fall victim to injuries.

What Is the PrizePicks Reboot Policy?

The protection behind Gobby&Gobby is the PrizePicks Reboot policy — the real feature covering your NFL picks.

If an eligible player you picked "More" on gets hurt and leaves the game in the first half without returning, that pick doesn't cost you the whole lineup. Instead, the pick is voided (or marked as a DNP), and your Lineup reverts to a smaller, still-live entry with lower payouts, not an automatic loss.

It's automatic for every PrizePicks member when it applies to your picks — no opt-in, no sign-up, nothing to activate.

How the PrizePicks NFL Injury Policy Works

For NFL, the Reboot policy applies to all regular season and postseason games. A pick qualifies as a Reboot when all of the following happen:

  • You picked More on an eligible player's full-game projection
  • That player leaves the game in the 1st half
  • The player does not return in the 2nd half

NFL defensive players and most special-teams players aren't Reboot-eligible. Kickers and punters are the one exception — they qualify only if they're listed as active but never record a single kick or punt.

Certain stat types tied to partial-game or limited-attempt achievements (like receptions of 10+ yards) also don't qualify. Full detail lives in the NFL Reboot terms.

What Happens to Your Lineup When an NFL Pick Is Rebooted?

A Rebooted pick is marked a DNP, and your lineup drops one payout tier — it doesn't wipe out the whole lineup. For example:

  • 6-Pick Flex → 5-Pick Flex
  • 5-Pick Flex → 4-Pick Flex
  • 4-Pick Power → 3-Pick Power
  • 3-Pick Power → 2-Pick Power
  • 2-Pick Power/Flex → Refund

If more than one pick in a lineup qualifies for a Reboot, the lineup reverts down once for each Rebooted pick. And if you picked Less on a projection that ends up getting Rebooted, that pick still counts as a win.

NFL Reboot Policy FAQ: NFL Injury Protection

Do I need to opt in to get a Reboot?

No. Every PrizePicks member is automatically covered.

What if my player hits their projection before getting hurt?

It's scored normally — a More pick that already hit wins, regardless of what happens after.

What if my player leaves the game but comes back in the second half?

That pick doesn't qualify for a Reboot. Only players who exit in the 1st half and don't return are covered.

What if I picked Less on a player who ends up getting Rebooted?

That pick still wins.

Does this apply to partial-game or season-long NFL picks?

No — only full-game projections qualify. Picks from 1H/2H, quarter-by-quarter (1Q/4Q), or season-long (NFLSZN) boards are all excluded.

Is Gobby&Gobby a Real Law Firm?

No — Gobby&Gobby is a fake law firm created by PrizePicks to promote a real PrizePicks feature. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, and nothing submitted through gobbyandgobby.com is actually a legal claim. The actual rules live on PrizePicks' official Reboot policy page and the NFL Reboot terms.

Does the Reboot Policy Apply to Other Sports?

Yes — alongside NFL, Reboots also cover NBA, WNBA, MLB, and college football games, each with sport-specific eligibility rules. Full details for every sport are on the official Reboot policy page.
