What is PrizePicks Packs?

PrizePicks Packs is our new digital pack opening experience built right into the PrizePicks app. Every digital pack holds a real, physical trading card. You’ll see it and its fair market value the moment you rip.

Three card types to rip: Basketball, Pokémon, and Football. Packs start at $1 and go up to $2,500. Pick what you want to collect at your price range, or rip all three.

The Grails: A Shot at Cards Worth Millions in Every Pack

A Grail on PrizePicks Packs is any card valued at $50,000 or more. These are the rarest, most iconic cards in the hobby — and you have a shot to pull them in any pack, starting at just $1.

At launch, we’ve got four Grails headlining the potential pulls, each valued at over $1 million.

  • Cooper Flagg 1-of-1 Rookie Debut Patch Auto. Sold for $8.04 million at auction in September. The patch came from the jersey Flagg wore in his first NBA game. The card was pulled from a $515 break and became the most expensive basketball card ever sold featuring a single player.
  • Pikachu Illustrator. This is the most famous card in Pokémon. It was only ever given out through a 1998 illustration contest, and a PSA 10 copy sold for $16,492,000 in February 2026.
  • Dylan Harper 1-of-1 Rookie Debut Patch Auto. Sold for $2.88 million at auction in September. Harper's card comes from the first class of NBA debut patch cards ever made.
  • Kon Knueppel 1-of-1 Rookie Debut Patch Auto. Knueppel completes the trio with a $2.34 million sale. Three draft classmates and three 1-of-1s, all in one place.

More Grails will be added regularly, so check the pool on the odds page before every rip to see what’s available.

Understanding Pack Tiers on PrizePicks Packs

PrizePicks Packs options

PrizePicks Packs have nine tiers in every category, ranging from $1 to $2,500. Here’s what’s available and what they cost.

  • Basic – $1
  • Standard – $5
  • Bronze – $10
  • Silver – $25
  • Gold – $50
  • Emerald – $100
  • Sapphire – $250
  • Ruby – $1,000
  • Diamond – $2,500

Transparent Pack Odds on PrizePicks Packs

There’s no guessing when you buy a pack. Every pack has a set floor (min pull) and ceiling (max pull) value, and every pack shows its exact odds on its return before you buy.

A $1 pack, for example, lands somewhere between $0.30 and $20, and that same $1 pack can still pull a Grail. The higher the price, the higher your odds of pulling heat, and that includes better Grail odds.

Pick your pack and start ripping packs on PrizePicks!

Know Your Pull Tiers

Every card you pull lands in a tier, and every tier tells you how your pull stacks up against what you paid. After you rip, you’ll see these colors in a carousel before your card is revealed.

There are six tiers, from Starter to GOAT, plus Grails — which sit above them all. Here’s an example from the Hoops Emerald ($100) pack.

PrizePicks Packs Tiers Odds

Tiers are based on a card’s value compared to the price of the pack it came from, not a set dollar amount. A GOAT from a $1 pack and a GOAT from a $2,500 pack are both the best pull that pack typically produces, just at very different price points.

Once you rip a pack, you’re looking for an Elite pull or above, since these pulls contain cards worth more than the pack itself.

Finally, there’s the Grail. Grails sit outside the six-tier ramp entirely: they’re ultra-rare cards valued at $50K or more, and every pack, at every price, has a shot at one.

Sell or Ship? How It Works

After you pull your card, you can sell it back instantly or “Add to Locker” where you can ship it home. You must choose to ship a card from your Locker within three days, and shipping fees will apply.

PrizePicks Packs Sell or Ship

Here’s more about your options after pulling a card.

  • Sell back instantly. You get 100% of the card's Fair Market Value (FMV), paid instantly. The FMV is locked the moment you pull the card, so it won't change if you wait.
  • Ship it home. Want the card in your hands, Grail or not? It ships to your door by USPS. Pay for shipping with your PrizePicks Balance.
  • Not sure yet? Your card will be held in your Locker for three days. If you don't ship it in that window, it auto-sells at the locked-in FMV.
