Pirates vs. Brewers – 7:40 p.m. ET
Braxton Ashcraft + Chad Patrick – 0.5 1st Inning Runs Allowed
The Pirates are one of the top NRFI teams in the league, with 46 scoreless first innings in 79 games. Pittsburgh heads to Milwaukee to face the Brewers, who are 26-12 on their NRFI at home this season.
Brewers P Chad Patrick hasn’t allowed a first inning run in six consecutive starts, including each of the past four outings at home. Patrick has given up 15 hits in 15 first inning starts, but has not yielded a home run in the opening inning.
Pittsburgh has not scored a first inning run in six straight games, while Milwaukee has not plated a first inning run in its last 12 home contests.
Mariners vs. Twins – 7:40 p.m. ET
Bryan Woo + Bailey Ober – 0.5 1st Inning Runs Allowed

It’s hard to ignore the fact that both Seattle and Minnesota rank at the bottom of MLB with the worst NRFI records. The Mariners are 33-43 on their NRFI, while the Twins are 33-44, with both ending the first inning with a run scored in over 50% of games.
Seattle has seen at least one run scored in the first inning in four consecutive road games. The Mariners allowed a first inning run in all three games against the Cubs this past weekend.
Mariners P Bryan Woo is 7-1 to YRFI on the road this season in his starts, while yielding a first inning run in five games away from T-Mobile Park.
Twins P Bailey Ober has given up a first inning run in seven of eight at home this season. Ober allowed a first inning run in each of his past two starts, but didn’t give up a run in the opening inning at Seattle on May 31 in an extra-innings loss.
