Dodgers SP Shohei Ohtani vs. Diamondbacks Projection: 5 Strikeouts
- Ohtani has only logged 41 innings over his 13 starts this season.
- The Dodgers’ star two-way player has thrown at least 80 pitches in an outing only two times in 2025. In his last two starts, he has tossed 70 or fewer pitches.

- The Dodgers will have a rested bullpen behind Ohtani, as the team did not play Monday.
Giants 1B Rafael Devers vs. Cardinals Projection: 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs
- In the first game of this series against the Cardinals on Monday, Devers jacked a solo home run and drew 1 walk.
- The former Red Sox has gone yard in two of his last three games to increase his total to 33 for the year, marking the third time over the last five seasons that Devers has launched at least 30 home runs.
- Starting for the Cardinals will be Andre Pallante, who has given up at least 4 runs in seven of his last eight starts.
- For the season, Pallante has a 4.37 xERA and a 1.44 WHIP. He hasn’t fooled many hitters, generating a 15.3% strikeout rate.
- Devers has recorded a .383 wOBA and a .244 ISO against right-handed pitchers this year, compared to a .323 wOBA and a .179 ISO versus lefties.
Yankees 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr. vs. White Sox Projection: 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs
- Chisholm has reached 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases in the same season for the first time in his career.
- Of his 31 home runs, 25 of them have come off right-handed pitchers.
- The slugging second baseman has a .910 OPS at home, compared to a .731 OPS on the road.
- The White Sox will start Shane Smith, who has a 4.22 xERA and has allowed a 46.7% hard-hit rate.
- Also in Chisholm’s favor: Smith has a 1.33 WHIP on the road, compared to a 1.12 WHIP at home.
Cardinals 3B Nolan Arenado vs. Giants Projection: 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs
- Arenado hit 34 home runs in 2021. Since then, his HR total has decreased each season. This year, he has gone deep only 10 times in 103 games.
- The former All-Star has a .655 OPS, on pace to be the lowest of his career.
- Arenado will take his hacks against Giants SP Logan Webb, who has set a new career-high with 211 strikeouts this season.
- One of Webb’s strengths is keeping hitters inside the ballpark. He has allowed 0.6 HR/9 this season and 0.6 HR/9 for his career.
- Webb has been lights-out in San Francisco, posting a 2.72 xFIP and a 26.0% strikeout rate at home this year.
- Arenado has a .268 wOBA and a .111 ISO on the road.

Ohtani will take the mound for the Dodgers, but strikeouts might not be easy for him to come by against a Diamondbacks team that makes a lot of contact.
