Tennessee and Florida, SEC rivals, meet for the 36th consecutive year on Saturday evening in Gainesville.

The Volunteers, a College Football Playoff team one year ago, have three losses and most likely won’t make it back, while Florida’s loss last week to Ole Miss eliminated them from going to a bowl game. This game is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Rumors continue to swirl about Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin and the open head coaching job at Florida. In the meantime, Florida interim coach Billy Gonzales, who took over for Billy Napier before a Nov. 1 loss to Georgia, looks for his first win after starting 0-3. Saturday will feature Tennessee QB Joey Aguilar and Florida’s DJ Lagway behind center.

Below, we'll give you our Tennessee vs. Florida prediction and Saturday CFB picks for PrizePicks, including player picks for PrizePicks' real-money college football game.

Tennessee vs. Florida Prediction, Preview for Week 13

Tennessee and Florida meet for the 55th time, with the latter having a 32-22 series advantage. In Gainesville, the Gators have won 10 consecutive games vs. Tennessee and 17 of the last 19, with the Volunteers last winning there in 2003. The Volunteers won last year in Knoxville, 23-17.

Starting in 2026, the new SEC schedule format does not include the annual Florida-Tennessee game, meaning the two teams won't clash for the first time since 1989.

Tennessee Volunteers Preview vs. Florida

  • A year after making the CFP 12-team field, No. 20 Tennessee is on the outside looking in. All three of its losses were to ranked SEC teams.
  • Tennessee has one of the best offenses in the nation, sitting second in scoring (43.4 PPG), second in average total yards (495.0), and third in passing offense (318.3 yards per game).
  • On defense, Tennessee is 41st against the run and 117th against the pass. They're 87th in total yards and 96th in scoring defense, allowing 28.9 PPG.
  • The Volunteers are 130th out of 136 teams in time of possession, averaging just 26:48 a game.

Florida Gators Preview vs. Tennessee

  • Tennessee will be the seventh ranked opponent Florida has faced this season. The first six ranked opponents were all in the top 10, with Florida went 1-5 against them.
  • Gonzales followed a loss in his debut versus Georgia (24-20) with defeats to Kentucky (38-7) and Ole Miss (34-24). He took over the Gators four weeks ago after Napier's 3-4 start.
  • Florida’s offense enters the week 113th in scoring at 20.8 PPG. They rank 108th in total offensive yards, 105th in rushing offense, and 81st in passing offense.
  • On the other side, Florida’s defense has kept them in games. Florida is 62nd in scoring defense, allowing 23.6 PPG. They are 64th in yards allowed, 58th in rush defense, and 75th against the pass.
