Both teams have been productive offensively this season, but San Francisco has been considerably more balanced. The 49ers average 28.1 points and 371.4 total yards per game, ranking fourth and sixth in the NFL, respectively.

Niners QB Brock Purdy has been highly efficient, completing 69.2% of his passes for 1,748 yards and 15 TDs against just 4 INTs. His 110.1 passer rating ranks third in the league, and he has thrown a touchdown pass in seven consecutive games.

The 49ers have also been effective on the ground, averaging 127.4 rushing yards per game. Christian McCaffrey has been the focal point, recording 389 rushing yards and 8 TDs on 84 carries while adding 251 receiving yards.

Las Vegas has been far more reliant on its passing attack. The Raiders are third in passing offense at 265.1 yards per game, but their rushing production has been a major weakness, averaging just 77.3 rushing yards per contest (31st).

Raiders QB Kirk Cousins has helped keep the offense productive, throwing for 2,124 yards and 19 TDs against just 5 INTs. He's developed a strong connection with TE Brock Bowers, who has 41 receptions for 547 yards and 5 TDs in six games.

The Raiders' biggest problem has been on defense. Las Vegas allows 28.8 points and 381.9 total yards per game, ranking 31st and 30th in the NFL, respectively. The run defense has been particularly vulnerable, surrendering 146.4 rushing yards per contest.

San Francisco's defense presents a much tougher challenge. The 49ers allow just 19.9 points and 299.3 total yards per game, ranking sixth and fourth in the league. They've been especially effective against the run, giving up only 89.0 rushing yards per contest, the fifth-lowest mark in football.

The 49ers will be without WRs Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, and Christian Kirk, which puts additional importance on McCaffrey, TE George Kittle, and the rest of San Francisco's available playmakers. McCaffrey practiced fully on Friday after being limited earlier in the week with a hamstring issue and carries no injury designation on the injury report.

Raiders vs. 49ers Prediction on Spread for NFL Week 9 – 11/8/26

Here are the key stats and predictions behind our Las Vegas Raiders vs. San Francisco 49ers spread prediction for Sunday.

  • The 49ers rank first in overall offensive EPA per play, while Las Vegas is 28th defensively.
  • The biggest mismatch could come on the ground. San Francisco ranks fourth in rushing EPA per carry, while the Raiders sit just 24th defensively in the same category. The 49ers have the personnel and offensive line to gash this defense on the ground.
  • On the flip side, Las Vegas' rushing offense runs into a poor matchup against San Francisco's defense. The Raiders are 29th in rushing EPA per carry, while the 49ers rank second in defensive rushing EPA and fifth in rushing yards allowed per game.
  • San Francisco has been considerably more efficient on third downs, converting 50% of its attempts (second in the NFL). Las Vegas sits at 41.7%, ranking 10th.
  • When the 49ers do take to the air, Brock Purdy will likely be able to pick apart a Raiders pass defense that ranks 29th in EPA/pass (0.15).
  • Despite Cousins’ strong play this season, I do not think he will be able to go score-for-score with this 49ers offense. The 49ers defense ranks 12th in success rate (42.21%), and the unit returns EDGE Nick Bosa (calf) from injury while DT DeForest Buckner plays in his first game since being traded to San Fran.
  • On the other side, the Raiders’ defense ranks a dismal 30th (48.10%). Letting your opponent stay ahead of the sticks offensively is a recipe for disaster against offensive maestro Kyle Shanahan.

Raiders vs. 49ers Picks, Player Stats for PrizePicks: 11/8/26

Here are two Raiders vs. 49ers player picks to consider on PrizePicks for Sunday's matchup, featuring Las Vegas TE Brock Bowers and San Francisco RB Christian McCaffrey.

Raiders TE Brock Bowers vs. 49ers: 6.5 Receptions

  • Bowers has been one of the most productive tight ends in football when healthy, averaging 6.8 receptions per game, putting him slightly above this projection.
  • Bowers caught 7 passes for 92 yards and 2 TDs in last week's win over the Jets and has averaged 10.0 targets per game, setting him up well and with momentum for a high-catch performance this afternoon.
  • San Francisco has been more vulnerable to short passing completions than intermediate throws this season. The 49ers rank 25th in defending passes traveling fewer than 10 yards, and 65% of Bowers' targets have come on short routes.
  • The 49ers have allowed 6.0 receptions per game to opposing tight ends, ranking 23rd in the league.
  • Las Vegas could also find itself throwing more often if San Francisco builds an early lead. Bowers has established himself as Cousins' most reliable target, giving him a strong opportunity to clear this projection even if the Raiders struggle to move the ball consistently.
Add Brock Bowers to your PrizePicks lineup now.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey vs. Raiders: 62.5 Rush Yards

  • McCaffrey has rushed for 389 yards on 84 carries this season, averaging 4.6 yards per attempt. More importantly, he's generated 0.14 EPA per carry, ranking second among 57 qualifying running backs.
  • He's also recorded 160 rushing yards after contact, averaging 1.9 yards after contact per attempt. With 229 yards before contact, McCaffrey has benefited from San Francisco's blocking while still showing the ability to generate additional yardage once defenders reach him.
  • Las Vegas presents a favorable matchup for that rushing efficiency. The Raiders are allowing 146.4 rushing yards per game, and their defense is tied for 29th in EPA/rush (-0.01).
  • McCaffrey's workload provides another significant advantage. He’s notoriously one of the NFL’s true workhorse backs and had just 7 carries in his last game against the Falcons before a bye last week.
  • With CMC carrying no injury designation, I have no concern about his touches in what is arguably the best matchup for RBs in the NFL.
  • San Francisco is favored by more than a touchdown, and that could mean McCaffrey has opportunities to handle a substantial workload with the projected game script likely leaning even more run-heavy in the second half.
Add Christian McCaffrey to your PrizePicks lineup now.
