NFL Week 8 Cheat Sheet, NFL Picks & Predictions – Sunday, November 1
Below are the top NFL Week 8 predictions, picks, matchups, and players to target in the PrizePicks cheat sheet, including analysis of QBs, RBs, WRs, and TD scorers.
Unless otherwise noted, this article uses data from SumerSports, PFF, Pro Football Reference, and Next Gen Stats.
NFL Week 8 Cheat Sheet: Quarterbacks
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott vs. Cardinals – 271.5 Pass Yards
Arizona ranks 30th in defensive EPA per dropback (0.22), creating an excellent matchup for Prescott and Dallas' passing attack. Prescott has generated +0.17 EPA/dropback, ranking 10th among qualifying QBs, while his 49.1% passing success rate is ninth.
Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett vs. Cowboys – 258.5 Pass Yards
Dallas has struggled to get stops through the air, ranking 31st in defensive EPA/dropback and 30th in dropback success rate.
With Arizona being a 6.5-point underdog with a potentially negative game script, this could push Brissett toward additional passing volume, giving him a path to clearing this projection.
Patriots QB Drake Maye vs. Dolphins – 234.5 Pass Yards
Miami has allowed QBs to complete 76.6% of their passes, surrendering 8.1 yards per attempt. Those are both troubling marks for a defense facing someone who averages 10.0 air yards per attempt. New England’s passing game has also ranked first in dropback EPA since Week 4.
Vikings QB Kyler Murray vs. Lions – 224.5 Pass Yards
Detroit has allowed the most fantasy PPG to QBs. They have allowed 313.5 passing YPG and a league-high 16 passing TDs through six games.
Jets QB Geno Smith vs. Raiders – 222.5 Pass Yards
Over its last five games, Las Vegas has ceded the eighth-most yards per pass, the second-highest passing success rate and the highest passing TD rate in the NFL. Smith has completed 70% of his passes (third) while posting a 10:2 TD:INT ratio and ranking ninth in yards per attempt.

NFL Week 8 Cheat Sheet: Running Backs
Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten vs. Colts – 64.5 Rush Yards
Tuten has been one of the NFL’s most difficult players to bring down, forcing 25 missed tackles on 94 carries, eighth among qualified RBs. He's averaging 3.6 yards after contact per attempt, good for ninth at his position, and has already ripped off 11 runs of at least 10 yards.
The Colts' run defense is tied for 29th in EPA/rush (-0.02).
Chiefs RB Kenneth Walker III vs. Broncos – 89.5 Rush Yards
Walker is second at the RB spot with 4.1 yards after contact per carry and has forced 42 missed tackles, making him particularly dangerous against a defense that has struggled to finish plays. Denver ranks last in the NFL in yards after contact allowed per rush and has surrendered nearly 4.6 YPC.
The Broncos have been the most obvious run-funnel in football, ranking fourth in EPA/pass (-0.15) but 29th in EPA/rush (-0.02).
Cowboys RB Javonte Williams vs. Cardinals – 76.5 Rush Yards
Williams is coming off a career-best 155-yard performance against Philadelphia and ranks fourth among 57 qualified RBs in success rate (58.2%). The Cowboys’ 30.75 projected team total is the highest among all teams playing this week.
Ravens RB Derrick Henry vs. Bills – 81.5 Rush Yards
Henry leads the NFL with 147 carries, giving him one of the safest rushing workloads in the league. He's averaging 3.1 yards after contact per attempt, the sixth among qualified RBs, and has already recorded 14 runs of at least 10 yards.
Buffalo has struggled against RBs, allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to the position.
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley vs. Commanders – 55.5 Rush Yards
This is a bank on health with Barkley, who doesn’t carry an injury designation this week. Barkley has been extremely efficient on the ground, averaging 5.7 YPC (second). He's also producing 3.81 yards after contact per attempt, ranking third at the position, and has forced 10 missed tackles on just 43 carries.
The Commanders’ run defense is 31st in EPA/rush (0.02).

NFL Week 8 Cheat Sheet: Receivers
Ravens WR Zay Flowers vs. Bills – 81.5 Rec Yards
Flowers is averaging 101.3 receiving YPG. Buffalo is an excellent matchup, allowing 285.8 passing YPG, the second most in the NFL.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb vs. Cardinals – 80.5 Rec Yards
Lamb continues to command an elite share of Dallas' passing game, leading the Cowboys with 81 targets and ranking third in the NFL with 651 receiving yards through seven games.
Arizona presents a favorable matchup, ranking 30th in defensive EPA/dropback, and just allowed QB Bo Nix to lead all Week 7 passers in average depth of target.
Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson vs. Lions – 40.5 Rec Yards
Detroit has allowed the most fantasy PPG to opposing TEs, as well as a league-high 603 yards to the position. The next-worst team is the Bengals at 509 yards.
Patriots WR DeMario Douglas vs. Dolphins – 38.5 Rec Yards
Miami has allowed opposing wideouts to catch 72% of their targets, the second-highest rate in the NFL. Douglas leads all Patriots WRs in snap rate. WR Romeo Doubs is out and A.J. Brown is banged up, which may open up Douglas for even more work.
Cardinals TE Trey McBride vs. Cowboys – 72.5 Rec Yards
A volume monster in a beautiful matchup. McBride is averaging more than 10 targets per game and has recorded at least 7 receptions in every contest. The Cowboys sit 31st in defending intermediate passes and 32nd against throws over the middle, two areas McBride consistently attacks.
He's also second among TEs in receiving yards from the slot, where Dallas has allowed the second-most production.

NFL Week 8 Cheat Sheet: TD Scorers
Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs vs. Vikings – 0.5 Anytime TDs (Goblin)
Gibbs has recorded 43 red-zone opportunities through six games, including 36 carries, and has already scored 9 TDs. He owns 92% of Detroit's red-zone rushing attempts, giving him one of the most valuable goal-line roles in the league.
With Detroit favored at home, Gibbs has an excellent opportunity to find the end zone.
49ers RB Christian McCaffrey vs. Falcons – 0.5 Anytime TDs (Goblin)
McCaffrey has accumulated 26 red-zone opportunities through seven games, converting 8 into TDs. His involvement as both a runner and receiver makes him particularly valuable near the goal line, and his 54% share of San Francisco's red-zone carries gives him multiple paths to scoring.
Bills QB Josh Allen vs. Ravens – 0.5 Anytime TDs (Goblin)
Allen has recorded 13 red-zone rushing attempts and 7 TDs through six games, giving him a 36% share of Buffalo's red-zone carries. This game’s projected total (54.5) is tied for the highest on the slate, making it a potentially ripe environment for TDs.
