Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills Prediction on Spread for NFL Week 8
Time + How to Watch: 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS
Following their 35-13 loss to the Bengals last week, the Ravens fell to 1-2 without QB Lamar Jackson (ankle). Ravens QB Tyler Huntley was underwhelming during his absence, totaling just 4 TD passes. He also threw for 201 or fewer yards in two of the games.
The good news for the Ravens is that Jackson is expected to return for this matchup with the Bills.
The Ravens and Bills have seen a lot of each other in recent seasons. Last year, the Bills won 41-40 in Week 1. They faced each other two times in 2024, with the Ravens winning the regular season matchup 35-10. In the playoffs, the Bills won 27-25.
Getting Jackson back puts these two teams on a more level playing field. The Bills win a lot of games at home, but they don’t always cover the spread.
Since the start of the 2023 season, Buffalo is 17-14 ATS at home, including the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Ravens are 17-11 ATS on the road during that same span. That is the fifth-best mark in the league.
Regardless of where they played, the Bills have seen each of their last three games decided by 3 or fewer points. Their defense allows 28.5 points per game, which helps opposing teams stay close despite Bills QB Josh Allen thriving.
With Jackson and all of his main weapons on offense healthy, this could be another matchup between these two teams that is decided in the final seconds.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. New York Jets Prediction on Over/Under for NFL Week 8
Time + How to Watch: 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX
The Raiders have lost four straight games after beginning the season 3-0. Their defense has been the main culprit, allowing 35.8 points per game over that span. Even in their last victory, they gave up 27 points to the Saints. Their saving grace in that matchup was that they scored 35 points.
According to RBSDM, Las Vegas ranks 25th in dropback EPA/play allowed. The Raiders' 16 passing TDs allowed are tied for the second-most in the NFL.
That’s troublesome for this matchup because the Jets finally have their top three wide receivers in Garrett Wilson, Omar Cooper Jr., and Adonai Mitchell all healthy. The trio helped the Jets score a season-high 25 points last week. It’s also possible that the Jets could get back star RB Breece Hall (quadriceps), who sat out their last four games. He practiced in a limited fashion this week and is questionable to play Sunday.
The Jets also have plenty of problems on defense, specifically stopping the pass. They are right there with the Raiders, ranking 24th in dropback EPA/play allowed. Raiders QB Kirk Cousins has at least 2 TDs in six of seven games and threw for at least 295 yards in three of his last four games. Points might not be difficult for either team to come by in this matchup.

Tennessee Titans vs. Cincinnati Bengals Prediction on Spread for NFL Week 8
Time + How to Watch: 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS
The Bengals return home after posting back-to-back road wins in which they scored at least 31 points in each. Although Jackson didn’t play last week, their 22-point dominance over the Ravens was impressive. Bengals QB Joe Burrow racked up 8 TDs without throwing an interception during that two-game span.
Burrow being locked in could be a major problem for the Titans, who are 23rd in dropback EPA/play allowed. Tennessee’s defense has 17 sacks this season, but they might have a difficult time generating pressure moving forward. They swung a big trade on Thursday, sending star DT Jeffrey Simmons to the Bears in a trade that landed two first-round picks.
If Tennessee’s defense can’t hold its own in this matchup, the game could get out of hand in a hurry. The offense has been awful, averaging just 15.4 points per game. Three times, they scored 10 or fewer points.
Titans QB Cam Ward has more INTs (5) than TD passes (4) this season. In six of seven games, he threw for fewer than 185 yards.
Making things more difficult for Ward is that the Bengals have made significant improvements on defense. They are fifth in dropback EPA/play allowed. Even being 17th in rush EPA/play allowed is a significant improvement. Last year, they allowed the most rushing yards per game in the league.
Since the start of the 2023 season, the Titans are 9-18-1 ATS on the road. Only the Browns have a worse mark during that span. This is a big spread, but asking the Titans to keep this within 2 TDs might be a tall task.
