Injuries continue to be a problem at the RB position. Texans RB David Montgomery (groin) and Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) both went down last week, thinning out the position even more for fantasy football managers.

To complicate matters, four teams will be on a bye during Week 6, one of which is the Lions. That means no Jahmyr Gibbs, who has 9 TDs and 747 total yards through five games, is sitting.

As we adjust to injuries and byes, some backs are in a position to exploit favorable matchups. Others might struggle against a tough defense.

Below, let's list some NFL Week 6 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em candidates for the RB position, including picks to consider on PrizePicks for Cam Skattebo, Tony Pollard, and more. Keep this analysis in mind when making your Week 6 fantasy football decisions.

Start: Giants RB Cam Skattebo

Game: Saints vs. Giants – Sunday, October 18, 1:00 p.m. ET

Cam Skattebo PrizePicks Projections: 57.5 Rush Yards, 15 Rush Attempts, 12.5 Rec Yards

Skattebo had a costly fumble late in overtime against the Commanders last week, leaving the Giants to depart Washington with a 27-27 tie. He produced another muted overall stat line, rushing 13 times for 59 yards. He also caught 2 of 3 targets for 12 yards.

After rushing for 81 yards and a TD with QB Jaxson Dart (knee) under center in Week 1, Skattebo hasn't topped 60 rushing yards in any of the four games with QB Jameis Winston leading the way. He also didn’t score in any of them.

The Giants added RB Najee Harris, and while he's received some opportunities, he’s not playing as much as Skattebo. The bruising RB's logged at least 42 offensive snaps in each of the last three games, including 56 against the Commanders. Harris totaled 41 snaps over those three matchups.

Week 6 brings a favorable matchup vs. the Saints, who've allowed an NFL-high 10 rushing TDs. No other team has surrendered more than 8 rushing TDs. According to RBSDM, New Orleans ranks 31st in rush EPA/play allowed.

The potential for Skattebo to receive 15+ rushing attempts against them could leave him with his best stat line of the season.

Add Cam Skattebo + Giants to win to your PrizePicks lineup now.

Start: Titans RB Tony Pollard

Game: Titans vs. Colts – Sunday, October 18, 1:00 p.m. ET

Tony Pollard PrizePicks Projections: 50.5 Rush Yards, 13.5 Rush Attempts, 9.5 Rec Yards

The Titans were blown out by the Texans on Sunday, losing 26-3. Pollard still received 14 carries, which he turned into 52 yards. With the Titans trailing often in games, Pollard hasn't topped 17 rushing attempts in any of their five matchups.

QB Cam Ward continues to play poorly, contributing to the team averaging only 11.6 points per game. A lack of opportunities in the red zone has resulted in Pollard recording only 1 TD.

Despite being part of a struggling offense, Pollard still ranks 17th among 44 qualified RBs in explosive runs (6), per Pro Football Focus. He's also 17th in forced missed tackles (10). He doesn’t have much competition for carries, with RB Tyjae Spears receiving a total of 7 rush attempts over the last three games.

If there was ever a week to feel good about starting the veteran back in fantasy, this is it. Pollard will face the Colts, who rank 32nd in rush EPA/play allowed. They also allow 27.6 PPG, so the Titans might actually provide Pollard with some opportunities to reach the end zone.

With Gibbs, Bengals RB Chase Brown, and Vikings RB Aaron Jones Sr. all on a bye, Pollard should be viewed as a viable fill-in.

Add Tony Pollard + Titans to cover the spread to your PrizePicks lineup now.

Sit: Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love

Game: Cardinals vs. Rams – Sunday, October 18, 4:05 p.m. ET

Jeremiyah Love PrizePicks Projections: 44.5 Rush Yards, 11.5 Rush Attempts, 10.5 Rec Yards

The Cardinals faced the Lions last week, which is a matchup in which Love could have thrived. They have one of the worst defenses in the league and rank 25th in rush EPA/play allowed. However, the rookie was limited to 22 rushing yards on 12 carries.

He failed to reach the end zone again, marking his fourth straight game without a rushing score. It was also his fourth game of the year with 14 or fewer rush attempts.

Love has dealt with various injuries, so while he hasn’t missed a game, the Cardinals have been hesitant to unleash him. They have a viable veteran who can handle some of the workload in RB Tyler Allgeier, who scored against the Giants in Week 4.

Another factor that's limited Love’s workload is the Cardinals need to throw a lot in games because of how bad their defense has been. They allow 32.4 PPG, which has contributed to them attempting the third-most passes in the league.

It’s difficult to envision their defense slowing down Rams QB Matthew Stafford with all the weapons he has on offense, so Love might receive limited chances out of the backfield again.

Add Jeremiyah Love + Cardinals to win to your PrizePicks lineup now.

Sit: Texans RB Woody Marks

Game: Texans vs. Jaguars – Sunday, October 18, 9:30 a.m. ET

Woods Marks PrizePicks Projections: 49.5 Rush Yards, 14.5 Rush Attempts, 11.5 Fantasy Score

The news on Montgomery isn’t great, with Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans saying the veteran RB is considered week-to-week. He was great in Week 1 when he had 3 total TDs against the Bills, but he hasn’t reached the end zone since then. He also didn’t top 33 rushing yards in any of his last four games.

With Montgomery perhaps missing Week 6, it might seem like a great idea to start Marks in fantasy. However, Montgomery’s lack of efficiency may be more attributed to the Texans’ offensive line than any of his own issues.

Marks led the backfield last season and only averaged 3.6 yards per carry. This year, he averages 3.5.

The Jaguars are already a difficult matchup, ranking third in rush EPA/play allowed. They have yet to allow a carry of at least 20 yards and have limited teams to a total of 3 TDs on the ground. Despite Montgomery's limitations, Marks could still be fighting an uphill battle to be productive.

Add Woody Marks + Texans to cover the spread to your PrizePicks lineup now.

Skattebo and Pollard haven’t been overly productive out of the gate, but favorable matchups could help them significantly in Week 6. Love might not receive enough opportunities to be much of a factor against the Rams, while a difficult matchup against the Jaguars leaves Marks as an unappealing fantasy option.
