Pacers vs. Thunder: 2025 NBA Finals Stats Preview

The Eastern Conference Champion Indiana Pacers are considered to be the NBA Finals underdogs against the Western Conference top-seed Thunder. Both teams feature their respective star point guards, as the key Finals matchup to watch will be NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander up against All-NBA PG Tyrese Haliburton.

Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 29.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.9 assists in the playoffs, while Haliburton is putting up averages of 18.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 9.8 assists. 

Both the Thunder and Pacers are high-powered on the offensive end, as the Pacers are averaging 117.4 points in the playoffs, whereas the Thunder are right behind them at 117.1 points.

The Thunder are clearly better on the defensive end of the court. They have led the entire postseason with a defensive rating of 104.7 and are giving up 106.3 points per game, whereas the Pacers have a defensive rating of 113.6 and are giving up 113.3 points per game.
