The NASCAR eero 400 gets started on Sunday, July 5, at 6:00 p.m. ET at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois, on TNT.

Sunday’s race features 267 laps spanning 400 miles on an intermediate track after a pair of road courses the last two weeks. Shane van Gisbergen captured last week’s event at Sonoma Raceway, the second victory for the road course specialist this season.

This is the first race at Chicagoland since 2019, as the pandemic halted events at this track for the last seven years.

The second race of the five-week In-Season Challenge continues today. The bracket began last week with the top 32 drivers in the point standings in a single-elimination head-to-head tournament. The huge upset last week at Sonoma was top seed Tyler Reddick getting bounced by 32nd-ranked Alex Bowman as Reddick finished in last place.

Below, we'll break down our NASCAR eero 400 predictions and pick to win for Sunday’s race, including top driver picks for PrizePicks.

NASCAR eero 400 Winner, Top 10 Predictions for Chicagoland – Sunday, July 5

Bowman was the most recent winner at Chicagoland in 2019, finishing ahead of Kyle Larson and Joey Logano.

This is the seventh race at an intermediate track this season, as Denny Hamlin has placed in the Top 4 six times, including three victories at Las Vegas, Nashville, and Michigan.

Reddick looks to rebound after a pair of struggles the last two weeks at road courses in San Diego (25th) and Sonoma (36th). The five-time winner this season seeks his first victory since April 29 at Kansas.

Christopher Bell is dealing with a fractured left wrist but still managed a 5th-place finish at Sonoma last Sunday. He is looking for his first victory since last September at Bristol.

The favorite to win the eero 400 is Denny Hamlin, entering Sunday's race (6:00 p.m. ET), according to PrizePicks Team Picks.

Hamlin currently has a 3.12x payout ($100 pays out $312) if he wins, while several other drivers, including Reddick, are right behind him at a 4.76x payout to win at Chicagoland, according to PrizePicks.

Payout multipliers listed below (like 2x) indicate real-money earnings if your NASCAR predictions are correct; for example, 2x on a $100 entry pays $200 if correct on PrizePicks Team Picks — available in 35 states, including Illinois. “Yes” payouts represent a specific outcome occurring, whereas "No" payouts indicate the opposite.
