NASCAR Bank of America 400, Top 10 Predictions for Charlotte – Sunday, October 11

The second Charlotte road course race held annually from 2018 through 2025 has been eliminated this season. Instead, it returns to the traditional oval with zero races in the Chase for the Cup taking place on road courses.

The distance is shortened from the first Charlotte race, the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24, which lasted 373 laps. Daniel Suarez took home the checkered flag despite not finishing in the Top-10 in either of the first two stages.

Sunday marks the third consecutive week featuring the intermediate oval layout, with Briscoe and Kyle Larson coming out on top in the past two events.

Six different drivers have won at Charlotte since 2021, including Suarez, Ross Chastain, Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin, and Larson.

NASCAR Starting Lineup for Bank of America 400: Larson Earns Pole Position

Qualifying for the NASCAR Bank of America 400 was cancelled on Saturday. It marked the fourth time in the last six races that qualifying was wiped out due to inclement weather.

According to NASCAR rules, Larson draws the top starting position for the second time this season. He started first at Bristol last month, also receiving that position due to qualifying being cancelled.

Larson finished second at Bristol while winning at Kansas in his lone pole position start in 2025. He fares well at Charlotte as long as he finishes the race, closing ninth or higher in three of the last five opportunities. In the other two tries, he crashed out in 2023 and 2025.

Briscoe looks for a better result at Charlotte after crashing with less than 60 laps remaining in the May event. He starts second following last week's win at Las Vegas, as he finished third at Charlotte in 2025.

Denny Hamlin – 4 Finishing Position

Denny Hamlin to Finish Top 10 in Bank of America 400 via PrizePicks Team Picks: Yes 1.33x | No 2.63x

  • Hamlin placed third in May's Charlotte race, his only Top-3 finish in the last four events at this track.
  • He enters second in the NASCAR standings behind Larson after finishing with the most points before the Chase.
  • In five Chase events, Hamlin has finished higher than fourth once, placing third at Kansas two weeks ago.
  • Hamlin's 16th-place finish at Las Vegas was uncharacteristic considering his success at intermediate tracks. In the first 10 events at this layout, Hamlin closed third or higher eight times.
Add Denny Hamlin to your PrizePicks NASCAR Picks for the Bank of America 400.

Tyler Reddick – 7.5 Finishing Position

Tyler Reddick to Finish Top 10 in Bank of America 400 via PrizePicks Team Picks: Yes 1.38x | No 2.5x

  • Reddick owns solid career numbers at Charlotte, placing in the Top 6 in four of the last five events. He won the pole in the May race but closed fourth despite leading for 119 laps.
  • The five-time winner this season has compiled a pair of Top-5 finishes in five Chase events, including third at Las Vegas.
  • Reddick placed 10th or lower in his previous three intermediate track events before his third-place finish at Vegas.
  • He starts third today, as he placed 10th at Indianapolis and 35th at Michigan in the other two events when he began third this season.

William Byron – 9.5 Finishing Position

William Byron to Finish Top 10 in Bank of America 400 via PrizePicks Team Picks: Yes 1.63x | No 2.17x

  • Byron is the only driver to finish in the Top 10 in each of the last four Charlotte events.
  • He has never won at Charlotte but placed second in both 2023 and 2025.
  • Since Byron finished 37th at Darlington due to engine failure, he has placed in the Top 10 in four consecutive races.
  • In 11 races at intermediate tracks this season, Byron has finished in the Top 10 eight times. He begins sixth on Sunday, his highest starting position at any intermediate track in 2026.
