This is the Wimbledon men's semifinal tennis fans had been anticipating ever since the draw was released: Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic.
Sinner and Djokovic will face each other for the 12th time overall and the seventh time at a Grand Slam. Sinner leads the head-to-head 6-5, but Djokovic was the victor when they last met at the 2026 Australian Open, snapping a five-match losing streak against the Italian.
Everyone knows what's at stake for Novak, who continues to fend off Father Time in pursuit of his 25th major title. But he’ll now have to go through the defending Wimbledon champion to even reach the championship match.
Below, we’ll break down our Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic prediction for the 2026 Wimbledon men’s semifinal, including recent form, match analysis, and a PrizePicks tennis pick.
The Sinner vs. Djokovic match is scheduled to start at approximately 10:10 a.m. ET, following the conclusion of the Arthur Fery vs. Alexander Zverev match. Friday’s Wimbledon matches will be aired on ESPN and the ESPN App.

Jannik Sinner has bounced back from his shocking second-round loss at the French Open with what’s generally been a quiet run to these semifinals. After surviving a surprise five-setter in the first round against world No. 50 Miomir Kecmanovic, Sinner has since settled in and dispatched his next four opponents in straight sets.
However, despite facing five unseeded players ranked outside the top 40, he hasn't dominated in the manner we've come to expect. His opponents have won 21, 16, 11, 12, and 14 games, whereas the three unseeded players he faced at last year’s Wimbledon won 7, 5, and 5 games.
Additionally, Sinner has already played five tiebreaks, compared to just one over his entire run to the 2025 championship.
That being said, Novak Djokovic hasn’t exactly blown by his competition, either, going at least four sets against four of his five opponents.
Most notably, Djokovic was pushed to a thrilling five-setter against Felix Auger-Aliassime, a match that would finish in five hours and 15 minutes — the longest-ever Wimbledon quarterfinal match.
Although Djokovic looked sharp late in that five-set win, the built up physical toll of such a match could be a factor for the 39-year-old, who has struggled to hold up in the latter stages of Grand Slams as he’s gotten older.
Temperatures are expected to surpass 90 degrees on Friday, which could be problematic for Sinner, who’s notoriously struggled in hot conditions, such as his early exit at the French Open. While this is the second men’s semifinal, if the first one ends quickly, that could lead to this match beginning during the hottest part of the afternoon.
Ultimately, though, Sinner is the younger and fresher player, and he’s won five of his last six meetings against Djokovic. Novak can still beat anyone on his best day, so he can’t be ruled out completely, but this might be an uphill battle following his taxing quarterfinal match.
