Boasting a 48-28 record this season, the New York Knicks find themselves jockeying for prime playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference. As of Wednesday, however, their best player is operating at less than 100% capacity.
Prior to 8:00 p.m. ET’s tip-off against the lowly Memphis Grizzlies, the availability of All-NBA PG Jalen Brunson is in question. Is he in danger of missing Wednesday’s game?
Here’s the latest Jalen Brunson injury update, as well as how it may impact PrizePicks player projections for Knicks vs. Grizzlies.

Jalen Brunson Injury Update vs. Grizzlies Tonight
Per the official NBA injury report for Wednesday, Brunson is listed as questionable for Knicks vs. Grizzlies due to right ankle soreness.
Brunson’s workload has been heavy as of late, seeing him play in 33 of the Knicks’ last 34 contests. In the month of March, he’s averaged 36.7 minutes a night while pouring in 23.7 PPG and 8.9 APG on 44.1% shooting.
The three-time All-Star has generally been a durable piece for New York, appearing in 70 of 76 possible games this season. He’s already eligible for All-NBA honors if selected for the third year in a row (65-game minimum), so sitting out tonight wouldn’t do a ton of harm.
Jalen Brunson Injury Impact: Which Knicks Players to Target?
The Knicks have ample firepower to potentially handle a struggling team like Memphis, even without Brunson’s services. If he sits, someone like SF-SG Josh Hart, SF Mikal Bridges, or PF OG Anunoby could pick up the slack.
Hands-down the biggest non-Brunson name on the roster, however, is C Karl-Anthony Towns.
In 71 games, Towns is putting up 20.1 PPG and 11.9 RPG while making 49.4% of his field goals and 36.8% of his 3-point tries. The former No. 1 overall NBA Draft pick has heated up since the All-Star break, posting a 66.7% true shooting mark with a 128 offensive rating.
He also fares better when Brunson is on the bench. Per databallr, in 741 minutes without Brunson this year, KAT’s usage rate climbs by 6.7% and he produces 5.9 more points per 75 possessions.
If Brunson is out or held back some on Wednesday, perhaps consider NBA picks for Towns.
