The NFL has seen exciting matchups every week. In Week 4, several matchups came down to the wire with nine games decided by one possession. Some of those contests showed which players might be worth trading for on our fantasy football teams, while it could be time to trade others away.

Entering Week 5, it's time to assess where fantasy football rosters stand, aided by trade candidates to win your fantasy football championship.

Let’s analyze a group of players to buy low or sell high for NFL Week 5 in fantasy football, paired with how each player could perform with PrizePicks projections in Week 5.

2026 Fantasy Football Buy Low Players for Week 5

Here are key buy-low players to consider trading for in Week 5, along with their PrizePicks projections this week.

All stats via PFF, NFL Next Gen Stats and rankings via FantasyPros.

Bills TE Dalton Kincaid – Buy Low

Week 5 Matchup: @ Rams

The season started hot for Dalton Kincaid managers.

In the first two weeks, he led tight ends in receiving yards (130) and yards per route run (5.9), while sitting as TE2. He has struggled over the last two weeks, ranking 29th among tight ends in receiving yards (45) and ranking as the TE44.

The good news is there hasn’t been a significant drop in snaps or routes run; Bills QB Josh Allen just hasn’t been able to get the ball to Kincaid. Allen also struggled in the last two games, averaging 228.5 passing yards with 1 passing TD and 2 INTs.

Given how Allen played at the start of the season, the last two games feel like an outlier. Allen could return to his MVP-level play, and Kincaid could benefit from that.

Kincaid's value to the Bills’ passing attack stems from his versatility as a route runner. He’s leading all tight ends with 3 targets of 20+ air yards, and he also features 8 targets between 10 to 19 air yards and 8 targets of 0 to 9 yards.

Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten – Buy Low

Week 5 Matchup: vs. Eagles

This is a great opportunity to acquire a great player at a discounted rate — especially if his fantasy manager only looks at the box score.

Tuten had a solid day against the Bengals with 91 scrimmage yards and 11.1 fantasy points, but it could have been much bigger. He had 2 rushing TDs that were called back on holding penalties, which is the difference between finishing inside the top 10 instead of finishing as RB25 in Week 4.

Unfortunately for current Tuten managers, RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. was the one who scored a TD for Jacksonville. Rodriguez's presence in the backfield could scare Tuten's managers into trading him.

Tuten is clearly becoming the Jaguars' workhorse, with at least 15 carries in three of four games and three straight games with 2 receptions. He’s ranked RB14, but it feels like Tuten is on the rise.

Packers QB Jordan Love – Buy Low

Week 5 Matchup: vs. Bears

Love and the Packers have not had a great start to the season. They are 2-2, with those wins being against the Jets and the Buccaneers without QB Baker Mayfield.

The offense has struggled, ranking 27th in points per game (18.3) and 20th in total yards per game (307.3). Those struggles haven't affected Love; his passing has driven this offense, as he ranks seventh in passing yards (1,046) and sixth in TDs (8).

Green Bay has attempted to piece together a backfield with RBs MarShawn Lloyd, Kaleb Johnson, and Chris Brooks, as Josh Jacobs remains on the commissioner's exempt list. It hasn't worked, with no one reaching 100 rushing yards this season. In fact, a back has yet to even record a rushing TD.

That is why Love has volume-based value; the Packers lead the league in pass-play percentage (68.9%), and Love ranks fifth in pass attempts (154). This has made him fantasy-relevant, and he's thrown for 2 TDs in every game and posted more than 300 passing yards in two games.

There is no indication Jacobs will return anytime soon, so the offense could keep counting on Love’s arm. This likely means you’ll see passing TDs weekly.

2026 Fantasy Football Sell High Players for Week 5

Here are some key players to sell high on for fantasy football after overachieving, plus their projections on PrizePicks this week.

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson – Sell High

Week 5 Matchup: @ Saints

It feels like a long time since Hockenson was a premier fantasy tight end. From 2020 to 2023, he finished in the top 10 among tight ends twice. He’s dropped off since tearing his ACL in December 2023, and over the past two seasons, he’s finished outside the top 15.

When a player has only 9 catches for 76 yards in the first three games and then becomes the focus of the offense, something has likely changed.

Last week’s matchup against the Dolphins favored Hockenson. Miami entered Week 4 ranked 27th in receiving yards allowed to tight ends (210) and 25th in fantasy points allowed (11.0). In turn, he produced 13 targets, 13 receptions, and 119 receiving yards — appearing on this week's top waiver wire targets.

The state of the Vikings offense could make it difficult for Hockenson to continue this high level of production. The Vikings won, but they scored only 15 points against a Dolphins defense that entered Week 4 ranked 21st in points per game allowed (25.3).

Minnesota is one of the league's worst offenses, ranking last in yards per game (238.8). Since Week 2, the unit has scored just 1 offensive TD.

It’s difficult to trust anyone on this Vikings offense in fantasy. The Vikings were also without WR Justin Jefferson, who missed Week 4 due to an ankle injury. When he’s on the field, Jefferson is the primary target, not Hockenson.

Seahawks RB Emanuel Wilson – Sell High

Week 5 Matchup: vs. 49ers

Wilson was the hottest pickup on the waiver wire after the Seahawks RB Jadarian Price was placed on IR. He rewarded fantasy managers, finishing as RB5 this week.

It’s the second game of the season in which he had 21 carries, but his 81 rushing yards (3.9 YPC) in Week 4 and 3.4 yards per carry for the year draw concern. His 2 TDs vs. the Chargers made him one of Week 4's top backs.

Wilson's window won't be open for long. Price’s injury isn't season-ending, and RB Zach Charbonnet is practicing for the first time since tearing his ACL in last year’s playoffs. When Charbonnet returns, he should reclaim his role as the primary running back.

Unless Wilson is absolutely needed, he should be traded at his peak value. Byes start this week, and fantasy managers may need a dependable streamer.

Bears RB Kyle Monangai – Sell High

Week 5 Matchup: @ Packers

Do not read into anything that happened in the Bears backfield last week. Bears head coach Ben Johnson denies benching RB D’Andre Swift after a Week 4 fumble against the Jets.

Johnson may be downplaying the decision to avoid a week of questions about his running back room, but don't expect this situation to carry into this week.

Chicago gave Swift an extension, signaling they trust him to lead the backfield. In Weeks 2 and 3, Swift doubled Monangai’s snap count, 100-47. That was even after Monangai ran for 100 yards and 1 TD in Week 1.

Monangai is also hurt by being irrelevant in the passing game. He has just 3 catches this year, and according to PlayerProfiler, his 25.2% route participation ranks 47th among running backs.

Broncos RB RJ Harvey – Sell High

Week 5 Matchup: @ Chargers

Harvey was a key part of the Broncos offense in the 24-14 loss to the 49ers, logging 17 touches, 93 yards from scrimmage, and 14.3 fantasy points. He's been heavily involved in the passing game, logging 109 yards on 16 catches over his last two games.

However, he has done little on the ground in that split, totaling 31 yards on 9 carries. Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins is the primary back in the run game, with 27 carries over the last two weeks.

Week 4 was a great matchup for Harvey vs. the 49ers, who entered Week 4 allowing the fourth-most catches to running backs (17). Next week’s matchup provides a more difficult matchup against the Chargers, who entered Week 4 ranked 19th in catches allowed to running backs (12) and 22nd in receiving yards (83).

The Broncos have a two-headed backfield in Dobbins and Harvey, but when RB Jonah Coleman returns from IR, he could get back into the mix and take touches away from Dobbins and/or Harvey.

Some valuable fantasy running backs are injured, including Jets RB Breece Hall and Eagles RB Saquon Barkley, so their fantasy managers could need replacements, adding to Harvey's value.
