The Formula 1 Belgium Grand Prix starts on Sunday at 9 a.m. ET, live on Apple TV. The first two F1 practices took place on Friday, and the qualifying and final practice on Saturday at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium featured its usual chaos.
Early Belgium GP predictions were thrown for a bit of a loop when Lando Norris was hit with a 10-place grid penalty. The qualifying position is not necessarily important at Spa with passing in three prime spots — including the Kemmel Straight, the Turn 1 hairpin, and the Turn 18-19 combo.
Naturally, Kimi Antonelli was the driver who came up with the goods at the end of qualifying. Max Verstappen trailed, and Norris just couldn't improve on an initial effort in Q3. Norris will now start 13th instead of third.
Could Sunday’s F1 Belgium Grand Prix produce a banger for the ages? Let’s race into our F1 Belgium Grand Prix predictions for Sunday morning, including favorites to win, finish on the podium, and more on PrizePicks Team Picks.

F1 Belgium Grand Prix Predictions, Picks After Qualifying
Antonelli and Verstappen were the favorites to take pole in the Belgium Grand Prix, along with Norris. Naturally, Antonelli found a considerable amount of pace and won the pole by almost a third of a second.
The Ferrari cars were more than a half-second off from Mercedes’ Antonelli. That could pave the way for Norris to potentially surge from the back. It'll be intriguing to see how much better the McLarens perform on race day as opposed to qualifying or practice.
Below, find the F1 qualifying results for the Belgium Grand Prix from 1st to 22nd. This may help in crafting those F1 predictions.
Keep in mind that Spa is just over 7 km and 20 turns long. There's room for many overtakes (49 in 2025, 62 in 2024), and plenty are expected Sunday.

The expectation is that the 2026 F1 Belgium Grand Prix could be run under cooler conditions over 44 laps. With dry, breezy weather, there may still be chaos due to pit strategy and a yellow flag or two from that Turn 18-19 combination.
Mercedes still ranks 1-2 in the standings, but Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris are hunting for big points. Finally, Gabriel Bortoleto might be in line for a top-10 result. He did finish ninth in 2025 and will start ninth on Sunday.
