Selected No. 105 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, the New York Giants found their next running back in Cam Skattebo. After emerging during the 2024 College Football Playoffs at Arizona State, rookie RB Cam Skattebo enters a Giants running back room with Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary.
Skattebo is currently being drafted as the RB32 — 91st overall — in fantasy football leagues, per FantasyPros ADP, and is the RB33 in our 2025 fantasy football rankings.
However, the rookie is currently the RB3 on the team's first depth chart and missed training camp practice this week with a hamstring injury. His college credentials are buoying his ADP, but Skattebo may have legit sleeper potential in 2025.
Skattebo was slated to debut for the Giants in NFL Preseason Week 1, but will sit out vs. the Bills, which could make it more difficult for him to breakthrough the depth chart.
New York heads to Buffalo as the Bills defense will have to deal with the 5’11’’ 215-pound 3rd round draft pick. While he’s currently listed as RB3 on the depth chart, Skattebo comes into the fantasy football season with high expectations.

Cam Skattebo 2025 Fantasy Football Projections

The 23-year-old running back totaled 1,711 rushing yards at Arizona State in 2024, including an unforgettable performance in the Playoffs vs. Texas, posting 143 rushing yards, 2 rush TDs, 8 receptions, and 99 receiving yards, plus a passing TD in the loss. He finished with 21 rushing touchdowns in 2024 at Arizona State — just one fewer than his first three seasons combined.
However, Tracy (ADP: RB30) is in line for RB1 duties on his second year with the Giants as of now. The 25-year-old finished his rookie season with 192 carries for 839 yards. He had six total touchdowns, one of which came with his 284 receiving yards, as he played in all 17 games last season.
Singletary, a six-year veteran, suited up for 15 games. He finished the season with a career low of 437 rushing yards. That number is by far the lowest of his career.
Knowing the downward trajectory of Singletary’s career, Skattebo has a chance to leapfrog the 27-year-old. Skattebo has a similar stature to Tracy Jr., who made an immediate impact on the team last season. It would be difficult, but far from impossible for Skattebo to echo his numbers, especially considering Tracy's fumbling issues in his rookie season — 5 fumbles, 2 lost.
Cam Skattebo Projection – 525.5 Rush Yards
Currently, NFLSZN has Skattebo's season rush yards projection set at 525.5. Tracy Jr. crushed that number last season, at 839 yards, but he didn’t enter the season as RB3. An impressive NFL Preseason Week 1 for Skattebo would be a step in the right direction for him to come close to that number.
At this point, the key question mark is Skattebo’s health. The fourh-round pick is currently nursing a hamstring injury. With valuable first-team reps not going his way, all signs are pointing towards a slow start for the Giants' newest running back.
In college, Skattebo recorded career lows in his rookie season. He had only 520 rushing yards in 2021, though he averaged a career high 9.1 yards per carry that season.
Cam Skattebo Projection – 5 Rush TDs
Skattebo is projected for 5 rushing toudowns on PrizePicks NFLSZN — the season-long fantasy game. Whether it was at Sacramento State or Arizona State, Skattebo surpassed that total in each of his four seasons.
Last year, Tracy Jr. led the Giants with five rushing touchdowns In the year previous, Saquon Barkley only recorded six touchdowns, with 10 overall on the team.
The Giants also won just three games last year, limiting the upside for running backs in an offense that was consistently trailing and ranked 28th in Expected Points Added per play — a detriment to a player's chances to rack up touchdowns.
