Last updated: Thursday, August 21. Rankings will be updated periodically throughout the NFL preseason leading up to Week 1.
1. Saquon Barkley, Eagles
- 1,475.5 Rush Yards
- 11.5 Rush TDs
- 1.5 Receiving TDs
2. Bijan Robinson, Falcons
- 1,175.5 Rush Yards
- 10.5 Rush TDs
- 2.5 Receiving TDs
3. Jahmyr Gibbs, Lions
- 1,049.5 Rush Yards
- 10.5 Rush TDs
4. Derrick Henry, Ravens
- 1,349.5 Rush Yards
- 13.5 Rush TDs
- 0.5 Receiving TDs
5. Ashton Jeanty, Raiders
- 1,074.5 Rush Yards
- 7.5 Rush TDs
6. Christian McCaffrey, 49ers
- 949.5 Rush Yards
- 6.5 Rush TDs
7. Jonathan Taylor, Colts
- 1,200.5 Rush Yards
- 9.5 Rush TDs
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor’s upside for this season increased dramatically when Daniel Jones got named the starting quarterback. Not only will Taylor dominate on the ground behind one of the most dominant offensive lines we will see but his red zone usage will increase as Anthony Richardson provides a rushing aspect from the quarterback position that Daniel Jones won’t be able to replace.
8. De’Von Achane, Dolphins 📉
- 899.5 Rush Yards
- 7.5 Rush TDs
De'Von Achane’s injury slides him slightly down as his workload in the first few weeks will depend on his ability to nurse the injury and get back to full strength. Head coach Mike McDaniel stated that Achane is expected to play Week 1, however, it is a real possibility Achane could miss the first week of the season and possibly extended time if he re-aggravates it.
9. Josh Jacobs, Packers
- 1,049.5 Rush Yards
- 9.5 Rush TDs
- 0.5 Receiving TDs
10. Bucky Irving, Buccaneers
- 1,024.5 Rush Yards
- 7.5 Rush TDs
11. Kyren Williams, Rams
- 1,024.5 Rush Yards
- 11.5 Rush TDs
12. James Cook, Bills
- 949.5 Rush Yards
- 9.5 Rush TDs
13. Chase Brown, Bengals
- 850.5 Rush Yards
- 5.5 Rush TDs
14. Omarion Hampton, Chargers
- 799.5 Rush Yards
- 6.5 Rush TDs
15. Alvin Kamara, Saints
- 725.5 Rush Yards
- 4.5 Rush TDs
16. Kenneth Walker, Seahawks
- 875.5 Rush Yards
- 6.5 Rush TDs
17. Breece Hall, Jets 📉
- 950.5 Rush Yards
- 5.5 Rush TDs
Although there has been no official change on the depth chart for the Jets’ running backs, all signs seemingly point towards Braelon Allen winning out this starting job at some point this season.
The explosiveness of the 21-year-old running back is just one reason why many believe he will be the successor of Hall and it isn’t too far fetched to think the Jets could be active in shopping Hall at the deadline if Allen outperforms expectations this season although Head Coach Aaron Glenn has stated otherwise.
18. Joe Mixon, Texans
- 949.5 Rush Yards
- 9.5 Rush TDs
- 1.5 Receiving TDs
19. James Conner, Cardinals
- 899.5 Rush Yards
- 7.5 Rush TDs
- 1.5 Receiving TDs
20. Chuba Hubbard, Panthers
- 950.5 Rush Yards
- 6 Rush TDs
21. Aaron Jones, Vikings
- 750.5 Rush Yards
22. David Montgomery, Lions
- 775.5 Rush Yards
- 10 Rush TDs
23. D’Andre Swift, Bears
- 825.5 Rush Yards
- 5 Rush TDs
24. Tony Pollard, Titans
- 875.5 Rush Yards
- 5.5 Rush TDs
25. RJ Harvey, Broncos
- 725.5 Rush Yards
26. Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs
- 750.5 Rush Yards
- 4.5 Rush TDs
27. TreVeyon Henderson, Patriots 📈
- 700.5 Rush Yards
- 4.5 Rush TDs
Rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson is one of those players that just makes you feel like you could be on the verge of witnessing something great. With a similar situation to Bucky Irving last season, Henderson has closed the gap on 2024 starter Rhamondre Stevenson.
If Stevenson falters slightly, he could be looking at his replacement sooner than expected, as Henderson can display his explosiveness in every aspect of the game. He may simply be inevitable.
28. Kaleb Johnson, Steelers
- 725.5 Rush Yards
- 5.5 Rush TDs
29. Jerome Ford, Browns
30. Javonte Williams, Cowboys
- 575.5 Rush Yards
31. Jaylen Warren, Steelers
- 525.5 Rush Yards
32. Austin Ekeler, Commanders
33. Cam Skattebo, Giants
- 525.5 Rush Yards
- 3.5 Rush TDs
34. Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots
- 725.5 Rush Yards
- 5.5 Rush TDs
35. Travis Etienne Jr., Jaguars
- 500.5 Rush Yards
36. Brian Robinson Jr., Commanders 📉
Brian Robinson Jr. is likely to get traded, which all but kills his fantasy value. And without a great skillset beyond his two-down grinderrole, it's hard to see him come out on the other side of a trade in a better situation.
The Commanders seem in no hurry to get a deal done with Robinson as they like their running back room filled with veteran Austin Ekeler and some young talent in seventh round pick Jacory Croskey-Merritt, along with others.
The young backs have performed well in the preseason and until the Commanders find a suitable partner in the Cowboys, Bears, or other running back needy teams.
37. Tyrone Tracy Jr., Giants
- 725.5 Rush Yards
- 3.5 Rush TDs
38. Zach Charbonnet, Seahawks 📈
- 499.5 Rush Yards
- 4.5 Rush TDs
39. Rachaad White, Buccaneers
- 425.5 Rush Yards
40. Tyjae Spears, Titans
41. J.K. Dobbins, Broncos
42. Jordan Mason, Vikings
- 600.5 Rush Yards
43. Braelon Allen, Jets 📈
As stated earlier, Braelon Allen could be the next big thing for the Jets and his training camp tape along with preseason explosiveness shows his potential. He was also the youngest player in the NFL last season at 20 years old, and with the ability to take over the starting job in New York soon, his fantasy potential could skyrocket.
44. Tyler Allgeier, Falcons
- 575.5 Rush Yards
45. Tank Bigsby, Jaguars
- 575.5 Rush Yards
46. Najee Harris, Chargers
- 525.5 Rush Yards
- 4.5 Rush TDs
47. Isaac Guerendo, 49ers
- 499.5 Rush Yards
- 4.5 Rush TDs
48. Miles Sanders, Cowboys
49. Trey Benson, Cardinals
- 450.5 Rush Yards
50. Ray Davis, Bills
- 450.5 Rush Yards
