On Monday Night Football, the Buffalo Bills (3-1) hit the road to face the Los Angeles Rams (2-2) at 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN. The Rams enter as 3.5-point home favorites on the spread, per PrizePicks.
Buffalo was upset at home by the New England Patriots in Week 4, but a victory tonight would keep it atop the AFC East. Meanwhile, the Rams won on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles but sit at .500 and haven’t exactly looked like the superteam most envisioned entering the season.
While each club has had its share of stumbles, this should be a good matchup between two teams with Super Bowl aspirations.
Below, we’ll break down our Bills vs. Rams prediction and pick against the spread from PrizePicks for Monday Night Football in NFL Week 5.

QB Josh Allen has looked shaky the past two weeks, but the Bills’ offense still ranks second in points per game (31.8) and seventh in yards per game (386.3). Buffalo also sits first in EPA/play (0.204) and sixth in success rate (48.2%), per RBSDM. The attack entered the week ranked second in offensive DVOA, according to FTN.
Needless to say, this remains an elite offense with Allen leading the way. However, it’s worth noting that top wideout DJ Moore is questionable with a shoulder injury and was unable to finish last week’s game against the Patriots.
On the other side of the ball, Buffalo’s defense has struggled, giving up the eighth-most PPG (26.8) and sixth-most YPG (372.3).
If there’s any good news, it’s that the Bills’ D does a good job of getting to the QB, as it ranks sixth in pressure rate (41.3%), per Sharp Football Analysis. PFF also gives the pass rush the league’s fifth-best grade.
The defense will be without DT Ed Oliver, though, as he's dealing with a knee injury.
As for the Rams, they’re averaging the most YPG (416.0) but rank just 23rd in PPG (21.3). That disparity is due in part to QB Matthew Stafford struggling with turnovers, as he’s already thrown 6 INTs through four games. During his 2025 MVP campaign, Stafford threw 8 picks all season.
Still, better days should be ahead of an offense that has plenty of weapons between WR Puka Nacua, WR Davante Adams, and RB Kyren Williams. Last season, the team ranked second in EPA/play (0.149) and first in success rate (52.2%).
Defensively, the Rams have more than held their own despite missing DE Myles Garrett for all but one game. Los Angeles has allowed the eighth-fewest PPG (20.8) and the fewest YPG (247.5). That’s led to them entering Week 5 slotting in at fourth in defensive DVOA.
Bills vs. Rams Prediction on Spread for Monday Night Football – 10/12/26
Here are the key stats and trends behind our Bills vs. Rams prediction on the spread for Monday Night Football on October 12.
