The San Francisco 49ers are getting close to calling me to play WR for them, but they continue to find ways to remain undefeated. Although WR Mike Evans is expected to miss time with an Achilles injury, head coach Kyle Shanahan can lean on the efficiency of QB Brock Purdy and the versatility of RB Christian McCaffrey and TE George Kittle.
Of the 27 QBs with at least 150 plays this season, Purdy is first in adjusted EPA/play (0.35) and success rate (55.1%). With Purdy playing at an elite level and San Fran’s defense ranking fifth in EPA/play allowed (-0.06), the 49ers own the 10th-best record ATS (4-2) in 2026.
Even with QB Michael Penix Jr. now starting, the Falcons’ offense is 23rd in EPA/play (-0.06) and 17th in success rate (43.6%). Additionally, the 49ers are 11th in pressure rate (38.2%), and Penix isn’t an extremely mobile signal-caller.
Aside from being 2-4 ATS overall this year, Atlanta is 0-3 ATS when playing at home this season.

Buccaneers vs. Panthers Prediction on Spread – Sunday, October 25
Even with QB Baker Mayfield expected to return for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7, he is 33rd in adjusted EPA/play (-0.19) and 32nd in success rate (38.0%) among 33 QBs with 100 or more plays this season.
Mayfield and QB Jalon Daniels’ below-average play from under center has led the Bucs to a 1-5 record ATS in 2026.
As for the Carolina Panthers, they’ve seen positive development from QB Bryce Young, who is ninth in adjusted EPA/play (0.22) and 12th in completion percentage over expected (+3.0%). Since giving up 59 points to the Chicago Bears in Week 1, Carolina’s defense is third in EPA/play (-0.11) and fourth in success rate allowed (39.1%).
Along with the Bucs being 1-14 ATS in their last 15 games overall, the Panthers are 3-1 ATS in their last four games this season.

Colts vs. Vikings Prediction on Spread – Sunday, October 25
The Indianapolis Colts are a team that has fired their general manager following a loss to the then winless Tennessee Titans in Week 6, while the Minnesota Vikings are an undefeated team coming off their bye week.
It also isn’t ideal for struggling QB Daniel Jones to face a blitz-heavy, opportunistic Vikings defense on the road.
In addition to Jones sitting at 23rd in adjusted EPA/play (-0.04) among 27 QBs with 150 or more plays this year, Minnesota’s defense is first in EPA/play allowed (-0.24) and blitz rate (66.5%). According to PFF, Jones has the seventh-highest turnover-worthy play rate (7.7%) and 10th-highest pressure-to-sack rate (16.9%) when under pressure among 28 QBs with 50 or more dropbacks.
The Colts have failed to cover the spread in back-to-back games, and the Vikings are tied for the second-best record ATS (4-1) this season.
