Week 2 of the college football season is underway, and Friday, September 11, will be a fairly busy evening. Tonight’s slate features five matchups, starting with Villanova vs. #24 Louisville at 7:00 p.m. ET on the ACC Network, while #23 Missouri faces off with rival Kansas at 8:00 p.m. on FOX.

Three ranked teams will be in action tonight, and four of tonight’s five contests will feature ACC schools. Three of those will be taking on FCS schools, meaning we could see plenty of blowouts ahead.

LaWayne McCoy was the favorite target of QB Lincoln Kienholz in the Week 1 loss to Ole Miss. He was targeted 7 times, making 3 catches for 72 yards and a phenomenal TD where he embarrassed two different Mississippi defenders.

‍According to PFF, McCoy ran the third-most routes (31) of any Louisville receiver, with an average depth of target of 23.4 yards that was nearly 11 yards further downfield than any of his teammates. 

McCoy caught just 3 TDs last season on 37 targets as a Florida State Seminole, but 2 of those scoring catches came in the final four games of the season.

Villanova has already conceded multiple TD passes in its first two games of the season against FCS opponents and will have a serious disadvantage on defense with the speed and talent possessed by this Cardinal offense. 

Head coach Jeff Brohm could want Kienholz to use this game to increase his familiarity with his receiving corps and build on his strong Week 1 showing, which could lead to an increased passing output.

Rutgers vs. Boston College TD Scorer Prediction – 7:30 p.m. ET

Rutgers WR KJ Duff: 0.5 Player TDs (Goblin)

Rutgers threw the ball 37 times in its humiliating 37-21 defeat to UMass, and WR KJ Duff was the primary benefactor of that output.

He was targeted a team-high 16 times — twice as many as teammate Jourdin Houston — and hauled in 9 of those passes for 196 yards and 3 TDs. He was targeted 16.6 yards past the line of scrimmage on average, boosted by a 78-yard bomb late in the game. 

Duff is a 6-foot-6 freak of nature, capable of highlight-reel one-handed catches. He presents a matchup nightmare, especially inside the red zone, and he notched a 61.1% success rate on contested catches in 2025. 

Boston College posted just a 59.1 coverage grade against Cincinnati via PFF, despite the Bearcats only throwing the ball 15 times. WR JV Gibson caught 4 of Cincinnati’s 11 completions, racking up 54 yards and 1 TD. 

The Eagles ranked in the second percentile last year in explosive pass play rate allowed. With Rutgers switching QBs, there’s a good chance it hits on some big plays via Duff tonight.

#23 Missouri vs. Kansas TD Scorer Prediction – 8:00 p.m. ET

Missouri RB Jamal Roberts: 0.5 Player TDs (Goblin)

RB Jamal Roberts has scored for Missouri in his last three outings dating back to last season. His projected rushing total for the game sits at 99.5 yards, indicating he’s expected to get a fairly high workload.

If last season is any indication, he will. Missouri ranked 14th nationally (90th percentile) in rush EPA/play. Roberts had his best game of the 2025 campaign against the Jayhawks, gaining 143 yards and a TD on 13 carries. 

Kansas struggled defensively to prevent big plays and ranked 104th in available yards allowed. It also ranked 116th in EPA/drive on defense, meaning opponents often turned quality possessions into points.

Roberts is a home run back, with more than 50% of his rushing yards last season coming via breakaway runs. His speed and playmaking ability mean he’s a threat to hit the end zone anytime he touches the football.
