#6 Oregon vs. Oklahoma State Prediction on Spread for NCAAF Week 2
Time, How to Watch: 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN
Week 1 was one to forget for Oregon and Oklahoma State. The Ducks escaped with a 34-27 win over Boise State as 25.5-point favorites, while the Cowboys fell 24-10 as 13.5-point favorites vs. Tulsa.
The Eric Morris era in Stillwater is off to a disastrous start, as the Cowboys entered 2026 with high expectations for the offense. At North Texas last season, Morris and QB Drew Mestemaker led an offense that posted a nation-high 44.6 PPG.
However, Oklahoma State posted only 10 points against a Tulsa team that allowed 0.01 adjusted EPA per play (45th percentile) in 2025, per Game On Paper.
Oregon is certainly a big step up in competition, with the Ducks featuring a pair of 2027 NFL Draft prospects on the defensive line: DT A’Mauri Washington and EDGE Matayo Uiagalelei.
The Ducks’ Week 1 performance wasn’t that bad, limiting Boise State to converting 4 of 15 third-down attempts, 274 total yards, and 2.6 yards per rushing attempt. That third-down conversion rate is especially key, as OSU gained a first down on only 5 of 16 tries vs. Tulsa.
Oklahoma State LT Jacob Sexton suffered a season-ending leg injury last week, and backup LT Braydon Nelson will not be available on Saturday. Oregon generated 3 sacks with a 75.7 pass rush grade (77th percentile) last week, via Pro Football Focus, drawing even more concern for the Pokes.
After logging 3.4 yards per carry while giving up 4.1 yards per rushing attempt, OSU may be at a disadvantage on the ground. According to Fourth and Short, the Cowboys had a low 15.2% stuff rate against the run (33rd percentile) in Week 1, and the Ducks allowed only a 12.5% stuff rate on offense (69th percentile).
If Oregon is dominating the trenches, paired with QB Dante Moore coming off a 378-passing yard performance with 10.2 yards per passing attempt, Oklahoma State could be in store for another long day.

Arizona State vs. #10 Texas A&M Prediction on Spread for NCAAF Week 2
Time, How to Watch: 12:00 p.m. ET on ABC
Arizona State and Texas A&M enjoyed strong Week 1 outings, with the Sun Devils thrashing Morgan State 70-7 as 43.5-point favorites, and the Aggies rolled to a 50-0 victory vs. Missouri State as 38.5-point favorites.
QB Cutter Boley, the Kentucky transfer, stole the show in his ASU debut, dealing for 387 passing yards and 6 passing TDs. However, this performance was likely more about the bad opponent, as PFF gave Boley a 3.7% big-time throw rate (71st) and a low 5.3 average depth of target (aDOT), implying many yards were generated after the catch.
The Aggies not only provide a dangerous road environment, but they also gave up only -0.21 adjusted EPA per play (tied for ninth) last season. With head coach Mike Elko calling the plays, this remains an exceptional unit that brought back 63% of production from 2025’s defense (18th), per ESPN.
Led by preseason All-SEC DT DJ Hicks and EDGE Anto Saka, who is 69th overall on NFL Draft Mock Draft Database’s 2027 Big Board, Texas A&M’s front will likely pose a problem on Saturday.
On the other side of the ball, the Sun Devils gave up 4.1 yards per carry and a 43.5% success rate allowed on the ground (28th percentile) to begin 2026. A&M yielded just a 10.4% stuff rate (79th percentile) and had a 100.0% power success rate in the run game last week.
The Aggies could control the game via the rushing attack, and QB Marcel Reed adds another wrinkle to the ground game with 493 rush yards in 2025. He’s projected 32.5 rush yards vs. Arizona State, per PrizePicks.

#16 Penn State vs. Temple Prediction on Spread for NCAAF Week 2
Time, How to Watch: 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2
In head coach Matt Campbell’s first game leading Penn State, the Nittany Lions absolutely smashed expectations by rolling past Marshall, 45-0, as 23.5-point favorites.
PSU outgained the Thundering Herd 487 to 147 yards. The passing game was the most encouraging feature, as Iowa State transfer QB Rocco Becht totaled 271 passing yards, 15.1 yards per attempt, and 4 passing TDs.
Furthermore, Becht’s numbers were backed by a lofty 10.3 aDOT. Penn State could look to speed up the game script by launching it downfield, supporting Becht’s 245.5 projected pass yards via PrizePicks.
In head coach K.C. Keeler’s second season, Temple returned only 43% of production on defense (96th). While changes were likely needed in a secondary that yielded 0.14 EPA per dropback a season ago (34th percentile), replacing that level of experience likely means growing pains in the early going.
After the Owls posted 45 rushing attempts compared to 16 passing attempts in Week 1, Temple will likely lean on the run Saturday afternoon. However, the Nittany Lions allowed a measly 1.7 yards per carry in Week 1.
