The Minnesota Timberwolves (31-19) are looking to extend their four-game winning streak on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies (18-29), who are 2-8 over the last 10 games.
For tonight’s 7:30 p.m. ET tip off, Timberwolves SG Anthony Edwards is on the injury report yet again. He dealt with a foot setback last week and is now hampered by a back injury.
Let’s look at the latest Anthony Edwards injury update and how PrizePicks’ projections could shift for Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies if the Wolves’ leading scorer is out.

Anthony Edwards Injury Update vs. Grizzlies Tonight
In Saturday’s 131-114 win in Memphis, Edwards seemed bothered by his back. He’s officially questionable with back spasms for Monday night’s clash.
In addition, Timberwolves PF Julius Randle is also questionable tonight with left thumb soreness.
The 2026 All-Star made a full appearance with about 38 minutes on Saturday, surpassing his season-long average of 35.3 minutes per game. Since returning from injury on January 28, Edwards has averaged 37.3 minutes per appearance over three games.
This increase in minutes has not meant lofty stats, though. In fact, Ant-Man has recorded 18.3 field goal attempts and 26.3 points per game (PPG) in the three-game split — a drop from his 20.5 shots per game and 29.4 PPG this season.
According to FantasyLabs, Edwards leads the team with a 31.8% usage rate. He’s the heartbeat of the Wolves’ 3-point attack with a team-high 8.4 attempts per game and an elite 40.9% mark from beyond the arc.
PrizePicks is projecting the four-time All-Star to score 30.5 points tonight if he plays.
If Edwards is inactive tonight, what Timberwolves players could step up in his absence?
Timberwolves Players to Target If Edwards is Out vs. Grizzlies
When Edwards is off the court, Randle sees the largest increase in usage rate (+3.9%). He racked up 28.7 PPG in the last three games without Edwards in the lineup.
However, Randle is also questionable on Monday. We’ve yet to see both of Minnesota’s top scorers out on the same night this season, but Timberwolves SG Robert Dillingham (5.1%) and PF/C Naz Reid (+4.7%) see the largest increase in usage rates when the star duo is off the court.
Reid is likely the more trustworthy piece, thanks to his 26.4 minutes per game compared to Dillingham’s 9.3. He’s posted 19.7 PPG in Edwards’ previous three absences, smashing his season-long 14.7 PPG.
Furthermore, the Grizzlies allow a 43.7% 3-point shot distribution (25th) and 39.9 attempts per game (28th), per Dunks & Threes. Minnesota’s big man is third on the team with 6.4 attempted triples per game while shooting an efficient 39.7% from deep.

Reid’s projections draw attention thanks to a favorable matchup against Memphis’ perimeter defense. His usage could increase if Edwards or Randle are held out due to injuries — with an even bigger increase if both are out.
