The 2026 World Cup draw gave us some interesting groups, and the World Cup Group C is perhaps one of the most intriguing.
Brazil, the favorites to win Group C, are one of the favorites to win the entire tournament — with an 8.33x payout on PrizePicks, behind only France, Spain and England.
But Morocco can make another run as they did in 2022 — with the same core they had then. Meanwhile, Scotland will hope to reach the knockout stages, while Haiti will be a difficult team to break down.
Before and during the 2026 World Cup group stage, you can make real-money predictions on countries to win their World Cup group, advance to the Knockout Stage, and more on PrizePicks — now available in 50 states.

No nation has won the World Cup more than Brazil, who have claimed the trophy five times. That said, they’ve not done so since 2002 in South Korea/Japan, and nobody is quite sure what to expect from this year’s squad.
Brazil finished fifth among 10 nations in CONMEBOL qualification, and only avoided a play-off because of the expanded field. That led to a change in management, with Carlo Ancelotti taking the helm. This has led to multiple formations since, including a 4-4-2 and a 4-2-3-1 setup.
Depending on how they line up, Vinicius Jr. has been deployed as both a striker and a left wing. Brazil needs him to get going, as the 25-year-old Vini has scored just 9 goals in 48 matches for the national team.
FW Raphinha can play either on the right or through the middle while they have multiple options to bring on in RW Endrick, ST Igor Thiago, and ST Matheus Cunha. Oh, and there’s that Neymar fella too, who should join the starting lineup at some point.
The center back partnership of Gabriel and Marquinhos is one of the best in the tournament, but Brazil’s fullbacks are a major question mark. However, the midfield is solidified with the partnership of CM Casemiro and CM Bruno Guimaraes.
If Ancelotti can figure out the best way to negate the fullback weaknesses and unlock Vinicius Jr, then Brazil can make a run deep in this tournament. However, failure to do so could see another earlier-than-expected departure based on their implied chance to win the trophy.

Morocco – World Cup Group C Prediction, Preview

To qualify for Knockout Stage: Yes 1.08x | No 5.88x
Don’t be surprised if Morocco takes three points off Brazil to open Group C play and ends up winning the group. The 2022 World Cup semifinalists stunned the soccer world by defeating Spain and Portugal in Qatar, only to fall short against France.
In 2026, the Moroccans return the core of that squad — and you can argue it’s stronger.
Morocco rolled through World Cup qualification while outscoring their eight opponents 22-2, and won AFCON earlier this year — albeit after the fact, when Senegal was stripped of the title, and Morocco was awarded a 3-0 forfeit win in the final.
In fact, Morocco enters June having gone 26 matches without defeat.
They’re led by the best RB in the world in Achraf Hakimi, who returned from injury to play a full 120 minutes in PSG’s Champions League Final defeat of Arsenal.
They’ve also added a key piece in FW Brahim Diaz of Real Madrid. His recruitment from Spain was a massive coup, and he brings a dangerous playmaking ability in front of Hakimi on the right side of a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 setup.
Unlike 2022, Morocco won’t catch anybody out. That said, they’re an extremely talented squad with lots of pace who could very well win this group if Brazil slips up in the slightest.

To win Group C: Yes 10.00x | No 1.03x
To qualify for Knockout Stage: Yes 1.31x | No 2.85x
Scotland’s road to the 2026 World Cup culminated in something from a Disney movie.
Just when they looked headed for a playoff, they pulled off a stunning victory over Denmark.
Celtic LB Kieran Tierney hit a 93rd minute curing effort from outside the box, before Norwich City CM Kenny McLean sealed it with a goal from the midway line in the eighth minute of stoppage time.
Scotland heads to the World Cup for the first time since 1998, hopeful of reaching the knockout stages for the first time in their nine appearances at the World Cup.
The Scots utilize a variety of formations, often adapting to the personnel they have and the team they’re facing, but will typically default to a 4-2-3-1 setup if everyone is available.
Torino ST Che Adams will be looked at to lead the line, but it’s their talisman AM Scott McTominay who will be relied upon to make things happen. The former Manchester United midfielder has found great success at Napoli, and it was his stunning bicycle kick that opened the scoring against Denmark.
The bulk of Scotland’s side is aging, including a defense led by LB Andy Robertson. They’ll rely more on grit and cohesion rather than athleticism and pace, and will make themselves difficult to break down against Brazil and Morocco.

For most, Haiti’s participation in the 2026 World Cup is little more than an afterthought. They’re making their second appearance ever in the tournament, where they were outscored 14-2 in the group stage.
A devastating earthquake in 2010 destroyed their national team headquarters, and set soccer back in the country for years. Just as their nation fought to get back on its feet, their national team shows that same fight and determination when they defend.
Haiti GK Johny Placide is their leader, helping steer Haiti to a 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal run where they fell 1-0 to Mexico after 120 minutes. He was a key part of Haiti getting three wins from their final four World Cup qualifiers, keeping clean sheets in each of those victories.
Haiti will sit deep in a 4-4-2 setup, with a striker tucking inside to help defend, while looking to hit long passes over the opposition on the counter-attack.
Sunderland ST Wilson Isidor is often the beneficiary of those passes, and presents a dangerous option, having scored 6 goals in the Premier League this year.
Qualification from Group C won’t be easy and is unlikely for Haiti — on paper, they’re outmatched. That said, stealing three points from Scotland and limiting Brazil and Morocco to low-scoring outputs could put them in position to shock everyone and reach the knockout stage.

Brazil and Morocco are both favorites to qualify out of Group C, and their opening match on Saturday, June 15, 2026, will set the tone for this group.
Scotland and Haiti are long shots to win the group, but both will feel confident there is a path forward to the knockout stage if they can impose their style of play and defend well.
